Dr. Bret Hardin Dales, MD

I have seen over a dozen doctors over the last few years. This was by far the most uncaring & rude "doctor" I've ever seen. Completely unprofessional and didn't do anything except tell me to go to OHSU, as apparently he isn't competent enough to even attempt to help me. Instead of trying to help me he just tries to prove me wrong and gaslight me, saying I'm not experiencing what I am clearly experiencing, didn't put any effort into me. A drunken hobo could give a more astute observation. It is pure evil to treat people like that. A grifter, not a real doctor.

Dr. Dales didn't futz around. . .he made this surgery (total hip joint replacement) sound like a practical, doable solution to the debilitating hip and leg pain I had been suffering with for over two years. And it was. The staff at Legacy Mt. Hood hospital was very gentle, attentive, and efficient also, which contributed to this experience resulting in a beautiful new hip! I appreciate that Dr. Dales and his staff do not coddle the patient; they just simply do good work, and sent me home practically pain-free. Thanks to all of you.

Great service; very good doctor; everything was exactly as I was told it would be. I feel better than I have in 15 years. I am exercising now without pain and have lost 35 pounds because of my new pain free knee. I would definitely recommend him if you have joint issues of any type. I am very pleased with the outcome!

Dr. Dales explained my MRI of the knee. I have a torn meniscus and crushed tibia. I have had pain up and down my leg, I explained, since a fall on May 8, and my primary doctor had treated, but never proceeded with an MRI. But Dr. Dales had immediately sent me in for an MRI which clearly defined the pain of the last 4 months and I am very grateful for this. We decided to wait for a month for the next appointment, but I do believe I would benefit from the surgery and am ready to schedule that as some nights I can't sleep for the pain. Dr. Dales is an excellent doctor.

Well, in my case and openion Dr Bret dale needs better comunacation between the patient, in my case of this sistuation thier was very poor comunication during the recuperation of my surgery that he hade perform and due to a missunderstanding on his end my pervious employwer got a notice upon requarding of going back to work for light duty, but it was a notiifacation without my cosent, and know I'm facing a no benifits and no proper medical treatment

Six months ago, Dr. Dales did orthroscopic surgery on my left knee. I had put off the surgery for 14 years as a previous surgery by another doctor had not been successful. Now I am so thankful to Dr. Dales and all the staff at the clinic for the help and advice I got. I was unable to afford PT so Dr. Dales outlined several strengthening exercises to do. Today I am able to walk one and a half miles 6 days a week. Since I am 74 years old and haven't been able to walk without pain for 38 years, I find this to be a real blessing. I thank God that Dr. Dales was recommended to me.

It felt as though he was skeptical of everything that I said regarding an injury. He needs improvement with his communication skills.I went to another orthopedist who treated me sucessfully.

Dr. Dales came highly recommended to me and I'm very pleased with the total knee replacement he did for me 6 years ago. I had a much better outcome overall than many others I know who had the same surgery. I will eventually have to have the other knee replaced and I will return to Dr. Dales as I know he's a really good surgeon. Have a list of questions ready if you have them, as he doesn't talk a lot, but he's happy to answer any and all questions and completely explain everything.
