Dr. Bret D Ripley, DO

I see some of these complaints and I cannot believe it I knew him from years ago and then when he came back on the Southside I heard up and got over there he is more concerned about patience than anybody I know. I have never met a doctor like this. He is the best I adore him. Sincerely Beverly

He really makes me uncomfortable as a patient and really does not get down to the bottom of my healthcare problems. He really doesn't listen to me and i feel like when I explain my health to him he is not really listening. I would recommend absolutely any other doctor who tries.

Terrible clinician. He really does not listen to the patient or his complaints and lets his ego get in the way.

Very smart. Educates me as a patient as well as students on rotation. Puts things simply but not condescending.

My parents were fortunate to be placed in Dr Ripley's care when they required geriatric medical support. I went to several appointments with them. Dr Ripley and his nurse, Frannie, have been wonderful with my parents and our family. Dr Ripley was knowledgable, honest, compassionate, and responsive to our quickly-changing needs as my mom entered hospice and later died. Now he is doing the same wonderful case management with my father. Frannie is always willing to go the extra mile to make phone calls and to obtain reports, to facilitate timely and accurate medical intervention. I live far away from my parents, and have depended on caring individuals such as Dr Ripley to care for my Des Moines family. We'd be lost without him.

The best of the best and missed so much here in Virginia. We love and miss you Dr. Ripley.
