Dr.Owens is awesome. I highly recommend Dr.Owens. He was the only doctor that ever called every night after my son’s surgery to make sure everything was good. He is with you every step of the way with all information and makes sure you know and understand everything that he is going to do. My son loves him and says to give Dr.owens the best rating there is to give.

Dr. Owens was fantastic! He took the time to explain the situation regarding my teenage son's knee injury. More importantly, he listened to our concerns and addressed them professionally and with empathy. From check in to check out, our experience with University Orthopedics was outstanding.

I had a meniscectomy done with Dr. Owens yesterday morning. He made the whole process so smooth and painless from diagnosis to discharge. Not many surgeons I know that have called me pre and post op to check in for any of my previous procedures. Would highly recommend Dr. Owens and his team.

Since my skiing accident Jan. 2019 I had successful knee and tibial plateau fracture surgery in NH. In RI I saw an orthopedic surgeon that kept me immobilized too long which cause limited range of motion. I have been working through that with PT. I was recommended a visit to a knee replacement surgeon. His PA recommended a sports ortho specialist who I never saw. Only his PA. Due to intense anxiety, my PT did research of RI orthopedic surgeons on my behalf. She recommended Dr. Brett D. Owens. He wouldn't even see me. He had his receptionist call to say he recommended joint replacement and they would give me a list..
