A graduate of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, Dr. Wasserlauf most recently served as a fellow in sports medicine in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Saint Louis. He previously served as a resident in orthopedic surgery at New York Orthopedic Hospital/New York-Presbyterian Medical Center and was an intern in general surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Wasserlauf is a member of the honorary societies Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. During his fellowship he participated in medical coverage for the Saint Louis Cardinals, Saint Louis Blues and Saint Louis Rams.

Dr. Wasserlauf is head team physician and orthopedic consultant for the Hartford Wolf Pack professional hockey team.

Dr. Wasserlauf has over the past 6 years, replaced both of my shoulder joints and both knee joints. I have never had a problem with the surgeries or with the rehab therapy. I am 85 years old, and will be playing golf this year, thanks to Dr. Wasserlauf and his surgical and office team. Thank you, Dr. Wasserlauf, and your team for your expertise, skill and caring.

What a great experience as far as getting everything done right, no surprises, with great communication and service. I would definitely go back to him .... but I hope to never see him again.

As I am out of state my last few visits were televisits. Dr. Wasserlauf is always very thorough and spends adequate time during our visits. Excellent surgeon with wonderful follow up care.

Dr. Wasserlauf is knowledgeable, calm, and thoughtful. I recommend him to anybody who is looking for an orthopedic doctor. He is easy to trust, and he listens to his patients before presenting treatment options.

Dr. Wasserlauf spent a good amount of time with me pre-op to review questions I had as well as the technical aspects of the surgery and what to expect afterwards. There was constant contact with his very professional team members. I had recently retired and was moving to COBRA and Brenda was a great help in getting that squared away on my behalf. The follow up communication has been noteworthy and helpful.

After getting continualy frustrated with my previous orthopedic doctor's staff, I made a difficult decision to leave. And I'm glad I did because Dr. Wasserlauf and the entire team here are AMAZING. Dr. Wasserlauf is kind and super generous with his time, and the staff is wonderful. Highly, highly recommended!

He is rude and condescending to patients. He does not listen, and as other reviewers has said, his big ego gets in the way of actually listening to patients. He is biased against certain types of patients, and has no insight into this.
