Dr bear was very easy to understand with his diagnosis and what to expect made you feel he know his job

Dr. Bear, is a fabulous doctor, very knowledgeable, and caring of your concerns/ questions. He walks you through what needs to be done and treatment options. I have had the opportunity to use Dr Bear over the last 20 yrs and have very happy with his service and orthoillinois

I found Dr. Bear to be professional, to the point, knowledgeable, patient and kind. He treated his nursing assistant and a doctor, possibly in training, equally and respectfully. Dr. Bear greeted me warmly, offering a greeting with introductions to female doctor. He asked where my pain was and followed up with his diagnosis with his recommendations. He went over my MRI with me determining I needed to see another professional. He and his assistant made that referral while I waited. Dr. Bear exited by acknowledging my visit and telling me the referral would take from there. The assistant brought me information as to Dr. Baer’s recommendations with the referral’s name and timeframe in which they’d call me back. Highly recommend. Score of 5 on 1 to 5. My issue: I do not have my chart nor a computer, internet or WiFi. I’d prefer communications with me by text or voice mail messages. I have macular degeneration. Thank you for this opportunity.

Had half a dozen appointments with Dr. Bear now and every time I come I get conflicting instructions or told different information I was given previous times. I spend so much time to wait and actually see him, when I do he’s very professional, but always seems in a hurry to get out of the room. I’ve stopped asking questions really because I feel as if they are not taken seriously or given the impression he just doesn’t have time for them. I’m doing good for the most part, so I think he's a great surgeon, just needs to communicate better.

Dr Bear is the best. 3 surgeries on my wife, all great.

I am a nurse so I look at cleaniless, teaching diagnosis top of my list. The rooms are clean ,the staff uses proper hand washing . I was impressed how kind and sincere Dr Bear was. He not only has excellent bedside manner but is very good at explaining. When we checked in for Dr Bear we were told he was running behind which is understandable in a ortho/surgeon practice. By the time we saw him he never acted rushed or disturbed by our many questions. I would recommend him and only him. I am very thankful he took care of me.

I had to drive 45 minutes to get there. And Dr. bear was running an hour and a half behind. So I left, all I needed was stitches removed. The receptionist told me he always runs late. I asked if they had a service that could call you to let you know how far they’re running behind, they said no.
