This man clearly has issues with himself. He is the most condescending man and I think he gets off on making you feel lead about yourself. Read his google reviews as they are on point. He’s not a nice man.

Dr. Blumenstein is with the Illinois Gastroenterolgy Group in Oak Lawn, IL. He took care of three issues for me at one time and in a crisp 40 minutes 10 days ago. Endoscopy, colonoscopy and banding of hemmorhoids. I was under anesthesia in about 5 seconds and went through all the procedures in a completely painless and gentle manner awakening in the recovery room. After a short stay I went home with my wife. Dr. Blumenstein was pleasant, polite, and clear on the procedures and time to complete all. Everything went fabulously! The hemmorhoids are no longer a problem, as I endured them for over 40 years and now no more. The procedures were done at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. The entire staff there was wonderful, especially all of the nurses in prep, surgery and recovery. I highly recommend the doctor and hospital staff as they are all skilled and thoughtful professionals.

This doctor missed a hernia after doing a colonoscopy, endoscopy and reviewing a CT Scan. I had to travel to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angels for an accurate diagnosis. This doctor told me to follow up with him the next time I was in pain.

My husband and I both go to Dr. Blumenstein. He is so thoughtful and caring, he even calls you the night before to see how your "prep" is going. What other dr. does this??? I would highly recommend Dr. Blumenstein.
