I gotta say, Mercy ER is so scary, the patients are insane. But Dr. Corwell was a great doc. Long wait but I know thats normal for a ER. He treated me with respect, listened to me. Felt like he was a real good doc and he believed me and listened to me

Dr. Corwell is great. Patients in the ER get mad when they have to wait and don’t get exactly what they want, so the one comment he has is unfair. The docs don’t affect the wait time. People expect concierge service in an inner city ER?!? He did a great job with me, triaged my issue and helped reassure me. He was professional and kind. He didn’t let the chaos and angry screaming patients around him affect his contact with me. A+ doctor

I went to the ER recently because I had hives all over my body. I was in a lot of pain. After waiting for hours, a physician’s assistant (PA) saw me, then spoke with Dr. Corwell. The PA gave me Benadryl and said the Dr. Corwell wants me to go home. He never even examined me! I asked to speak to him and I asked him why he wouldn’t admit me. His answer was, “I only admit dying people”. Again, HE NEVER EVEN EXAMINED ME! He’s rude and should never have become a doctor. I feel sorry for his patients.
