I had emergency surgery in 2008 with a burst L-1. I was involved in another accident in 2005 with same spine injuries. His surgery went so well and I never have pain in that area; not the same with my 2005 surgery. He is the best!

Excellent doctor. I am doing great after three major back surgeries (fusions)for the lumbar area. I trust his judgment and would not go to anyone else. Dr. Dalton and his staff are all kind, caring and helpful and very knowledgeable. We also love his PA’s.

Wouldn’t let this guy fix a rat let alone a human

Not good! He was to decompress my lumbar spine, "clean out" stenosis, and fuse it. He fused me, & found an "annoyance" during surgery, and never bothered to decompress me, but of course he never admitted that. After 8 months of debilitating pain as before the surgery he ordered more x-rays & mri. Then he told me my low back was a mess, I could "try decompression therapy", and asked had I considered disability!! I left his office sick & in shock, immediately went to my physical therapist, and she said fusion patients can never, ever do decompression therapy, and was stunned he had suggested it. Today I can barely walk, I'm hunched over like a 90 year old (I'm early 50's), and I have zero quality of life!! But I REFUSE to consider disability, I still work, in spite of the shape this guy left me in.

I saw Dr. Dalton in 1996, discectomy in 97. He discovered a herniated disc that was very problematic that other doctors either over looked or missed all together. The Ortho doctors I had went to only read the MRI report and going by a mistake made by the radiologist. Dr. Dalton actually read the MRI and accurately diagnosed it within 1-3 minutes. Thumbs down Meadville Medical Center, thumbs up Dr Dalton.

Saved my life.

I did wait to get an appointment, but it was worth the wait. Very prompt and professional doctor. He listened to me and understood my issues before treating me. He did take lot of time to order additional test, which I though was excessive at first but now I realize they were necessary to really understand my situation. He tried to avoid surgery, but my case was too bad for that. Surgery went great. I am very happy.

My mother would not be alive today without Dr. Dalton's intervention. His knowledge and skills not only saved my mother but brought her back to our family the same as she was before the accident. Others told us she would not live but Dr. dalton did not give up.
