Dr. Brian Lee Debrot, MD

I had respect for this man, but after hearing the things he was saying about me in a dorrogatory way. Making out of line comments about why I was there and mocking me. Very fake. No interest in figuring out what's really.going. You do NOT talk about your patients like that in any vascinity that they can hear. Not only is it a HIPPA violation but it's absolutely disgusting. Who you are as a person SUCKS. They way you talk about people is out of line. I have HR'S information and best believe I'm going to make a report because this isn't the first time i have clearly overheard inappropriate conversations between the staff.

I arrived by ambulance at Wesley Woodlawn emergency. My husband and I chose Woodlawn vs Wesley Hillside, thinking we'd get in quicker. I was and had been, experiencing severe lower back pain, debilitating spasms. Brian Debrot, along with his staff, were condescending and slight towards me. They displayed contempt for having to deal with me. He did, however, order scans to be taken, I believe 3 all together. Why more than 1 scan needed to be taken, I don't know. After reading the results of these tests, Mr. Debrot informed me they showed nothing was wrong with me and added something to the effect "...it's most likely all in your head." I suffered at home another night and my husband took me to Wesley Hillside Emergency the next day. Upon arriving, we told the on-call doctor about our experience the previous day at Wesley Woodlawn. He pulled up the scans that were taken by Mr. Debrot and saw immediately that I did, in fact, have something wrong - I had a severe STAFF… INFECTION!! I was admitted into ICU right away and ended up being in the hospital all together for three weeks. It's been a year since my horrible experience with Mr. Debrot and his staff, and I still think about the disgusting way in which they treated me. Upon sharing my experience with others, my story isn't unique, many others have had awful visits at Wesley Woodlawn. I will continue to share my story and hope some form of action will be taken against Dr. Debrot. On another note, the staff at Wesley Hillside was amazing. My nurses and doctors at Wesley Hillside made me know through their care of me that they wanted the best for me and that nothing was too much for them to do for me!!

Was found guilty of malpractice and 1.2 million awarded against him in a wrongful death. Google his name. Not a good doctor.
