Dr. Brian Patrick Desmond, MD

In 2006, Dr. Desmond conducted cataract surgery on my left eye. Somehow in the process, he destroyed my fovea which allows central and near vision. I have managed over the years without central vision in one eye until recently when it has affected me in other ways given my circumstances. I have never received an explanation of how the error happened. Be very careful even with cataract surgery.

The Dr.'s office was crowded and the waiting time was long. He hardly spent any time with me and made me feel rushed. I was there for my annual eye exam. I moved here a year ago so I did not know anything about this dr. prior to my appt. After a quick examination he was gone so I did not get all of my questions answered. He comes to our town from a larger city nearby so I understand why he would be busy but why don't they schedule enough time so the patients can get their questions answered? I also did not feel like I mattered to this dr. He seemed cold and uncaring when I asked if I will need cataract surgery soon. I won't be going back to him.
