Dr. Brian Lee Dockendorf, MD

Dr. Dockendorf did an outstanding job for me on all three! I would highly recommend him. I had the esophageal stricture and colonoscopy done first and then 2 weeks later had the hernia done. I had already heard he was excellent on hernia repair! He listens to patients concerns and everything went smoothly.

Dr. Dockendorf as a doctor was fine but the business office was a nightmare. The day before a very minor outpatient surgery I was charged $250 for the Dr fee and then the facility said I owed them $1500 up front and that was after they took off 80% for my estimated insurance (we have excellent health coverage). These amounts didn't include anesthesia, labs, etc so I opted to find a different physician and requested a refund from the Dr office for the $250. They said it would show up in 10-15 business days. A month later I called and they said it hadn't been worked on yet, but it would get sent to the supervisor. Another two weeks pass and I'm told nothing has happened yet, but it will get sent to the supervisor. She said IF it's in the next batch I'll see it in 10 business days, but she can't verify whether it will be or not. We're a military family and moving in a month, I just want my $250 before we leave town and my cancelled procedure was scheduled almost 2 months ago. I'm not… blaming the employees at the office but something in the system is broken there. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Only in a hospital can they get away with holding your money for two months without providing a service, SMH.

Dr. Brian Dockendorf saved my mothers life in an emergency surgery due to s septic ulcer in her intestine. It was July 2001, my mother Lenora Smith was air lifted to then Highland hospital for emergency surgery, she was then 64 and lived to the age of 79 dying of heart failure this past year May 14, 2017. She had bragged on the Doctor, many times.

I've had several hernia surgeries and have never had as much trouble as I have from Dr. Dockendorf. He is rough, has no bed side manner, and eventually let me get infected to the point of having to be back in the hospital again. I will never make the mistake of going back to him.
