Sadly, this "doctor" deserves only one/half star for his availability. He is very inpersonable, does not know how to perform a derm exam, or utilize the medical equipment. I had an appointment with him three months ago - the moles and wart he "treated" are all still intact. I will NOT pay him my hard earned money to repeat what he failed to do the first time I saw him. He is a detriment to Advance Dermatology.

He is an emergency room doc NOT a derm and has zero experience as I found out. Spends no time with you, does not know derm meds and is so goofy, strange I cannot return. I had to tell him how to do a skin exam??

The staff is extremely rude when you check in and this Doc is NOT a skin Doc but an ER Doc and he should return to that job. He is terrible and will not examine you but looks at you from a long way away in the room, very, very fast and leaves abruptly and will not answer any questions because he does not know how to respond? Not thorough and does not know what he is doing. I do not trust his judgment and he seemed lost and a bit goofy which a patient does not need. Had to tell him how to his job and I am not a Doc. He will though, encourage you fully with going to the other side to partake the cosmetic skin treatments offered because they are not covered by your insurance since these are "cosmetic procedures" which YOU pay for out of pocket but you nobody is over there doing that. Lady there is a bit creepy and very forceful that you "need" all kinds of laser, fillers procedures that you do not need. He wants to make money for the corporation that employs everyone working there? I do… not trust anyone but maybe, possibly and that is a huge "if" the MOHS surgeon but I feel I would go back to Oakland County for that OR see this MOHS Doc's work before he took any cancerous lesion off of me. They do not care about you as a patient.

Dr. charges $250 for a whole body skin check and does it in less than 5 minutes in unacceptable in my book. He seems to not like his job and does not converse much with the patient. HE needs to go back being an ER doc. Never returning to this HUGE, commercial practice.

Dr Gelb quickly solved the skin problems that were causing me so much grief. I have no insurance and his fees were very fair and reasonable. I'm very glad he has an office in Alpena!

Extremely professional office and staff. Dr. Gelb answered all my questions and is very personable.

This man wll say one thng to your face and put another completely different account of events on your charts! Beware when other people from the medical profession read your charts it is like an instant bad impresson. This man(doesnt't deserve the title doctor) is also condensending, arrogant, and last but not least he will NEVER admit a mistake!
