Dr. Brian Lee Gerhardstein, MD

All I have to say is that he is a great doctor. I went from one neurologist to Dr Gerhardstein. After reading the reviews I was surprised of most of the negative comments. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion yet not all doctors are not meant to be for people. After seeing him I wanted to give him a chance and I'm glad I did he listened and gave his recommendations. I suffer from severe migraines and I'm glad I started acupuncture I highly recommend.

Dr. Gerhardstein was very patient. He listened to what I had to say. So why the 1 star? My complaint was feeling foggy and dizzy, basically I felt disoriented 24/7 along with tinnitus. I insisted that there was something wrong with my neck bc before my symptoms became constant, they use to clear up whenever I did neck excercises. So I insisted to get an MRI of my neck. After I got my results, the report only pointed out I had a slight bulging disc around c6. Then I asked him to take a look at my MRI but the cd wasn't working on his comp so I told him the radiology place said he can see my images through their linked website, but had no idea. Anyways in the end he didn't bother to try to view my disk elsewhere. A few months later I found another doc who looked at my MRI and found a lot of scar tissue in my neck!!! So it turned out I had several knots/trigger points!

This doctor not only figured out what was wrong with me but was worried about me. His follow up was some of the best I have ever see. He looked at the actual tests the er did and said were fine, then found something and called to refer me to a specialist. This doctor is one in a million!

This doctor is one of my better ones. He doesn't judge me by other diagnoses I have and was very correct about my current diagnosis. He put to rest some MAJOR fears and spent quite a bit of time explaining to me things on the phone. He is patient and explains things very clearly.

Dr Gerhardstein is the best doctor in NJ for treatment of migraine headaches. He is knowledgeable, shows concern, and spends time answering my questions. RWJ is erratic on service provided by office staff.

A bad diagnosis had consequences affecting my life in a non-medical way. Trying to communicate with him was a nightmare. The staff seem to define their job as doing good work when they keep the patient away from him. Phone calls not returned; letters ignored. Definitely not a caring, empathic guy...some of the "Doctor-as-God" syndrome.

When I read previous reviews of Dr. Gerhardstein, I was reluctant to book an appointment..but did so anyway. I am so glad that I did. He was extremely knowledgeable and caring. He took a lot of time with me & gave me good advice and ordered further tests. He listened intently to what I had to say. I highly recommend Dr. Gerhardstein.

Dr. Gerhardstein had absolutely no idea what to do with me. He told me to take two alleve and if the pain got too bad, to go to the emergency room. Thanks for nothing.

Dr. Gerhardstein was wonderful, when I was diagnosed with a serious condition 2 weeks ago. I would refer my best friend to him in an instant.

If you go to the ER and get this doctor, request another neurologist.
