I go to you all the time the work he does on me flawless he is so honest me and my husband talk about you all the time looking forward to seeing you in Jan of 2022 he has a great touch wonderful Dr :o)

I had an RX for an EMG for the cause of pain in my right thigh. I was here 18 months ago for carpal tunnel & had to wait MANY hours. I asked how I could reduce wait time and was told to make an 8 AM appointment, which I did. The sign-in sheet showed that SEVERAL people were given the 8 AM appointment. I did not leave the office until almost THREE hours had passed. Dr A barely examined me, leaving most of the "interviewing" to his PA. He "jokingly" asked if I over-ate at Thanksgiving! He never explained what the test would be like or what he would be testing. I was sent BACK to the waiting room for a long time again. Finally I was asked to go into the room for the EMG, where 2 technicians, speaking some in English and some in (Russian?) told me I was having the test done on both legs AND BOTH WRISTS! I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! He wanted to do a test that was NOT prescribed just to bill Medicare more! An office manager explained both legs need to be tested for comparison, which I… agreed to. Dr A. only administered the needle part of the test. After, HE POKED ME IN THE STOMACH & said to lose weight. I was so outraged & embarrassed! I have NEVER been treated in such an unprofessional, disrespectful manner by a doctor!

I saw this doctor one time. The appointment was rushed but he prescribed new medication which I was happy about. Little did I know but it wasn't covered by the insurance (not his fault, obviously). However it took me months of calling the office asking for medication to be switched, just to talk to several receptionists and at the end the "office manager" told me that I had to come in to the office again to be seen by the doctor since it's been months. That means take time off from work, spend hours in the waiting room, having to pay co-pay and having my insurance pay for the doctor visit WHEN NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN THESE MONTHS. Office manager was rude and unprofessional and got really irritated when I mentioned that insurance has already paid for a visit and it's not right to try to be paid again. I asked and begged to talk to the doctor himself but never got that phone call back and that's called patient negligence and abandonment. The doctor should either be ashamed of himself or… ashamed of his staff.

Waste of time with Dr. Amoashiy. Totally Unprofessional. He thinks that because he has 39 years of experience in the medical field he can speak to you and treat you as if you're beneath him. He's very insulting and almost never there at the office. Always on vacation. You may see the Physician Assistant more often that him. Further more, he has his Medical Assistants' and Physician Assistant doing his notes in EMR and writing out prescriptions he will tell them to write and then he'll sign it. I Know, because I worked for him before.

The best doctor ever

Dr. Amoashiy wanted nothing to do with me. He kept shrugging off my concerns. Rude and impatient.

If you enjoy being humiliated this is the doctor for you. He has a sense of humor but the only one laughing is him. Every time I was seen by this doctor he squeeze my belly fighting against my protective hands exclaiming with laughter "you have to lose this!". I clearly was not comfortable with his familiarity, even his medical assistant looked away embarrassed. The staff is very nice however I have been left on hold for more than 10 minutes on more than one occasion with never a call back. Also if you need anything while he is on vacation forget about it. When I called for records to be faxed to another doctor because of an emergency, I was refused and told to call back in 2 weeks because "no one is here". The physical therapy in his office was less than adequate. I was barely spoken to, hooked up to electrodes and then plopped on a stationary bike for 15 minutes.

If you value your time and money, avoid Michael Amoashiy. The short story: he referred me to the wrong type of doctor, wasting my time and money and letting my Lyme disease go untreated longer. His wait times are long, and he hasn't spent more than ten minutes with me. Very brisk, not very attentive. The behavior of his office leads me to believe that their priority is making money. In detail: I came to him because my general practitioner recommended I see a neurologist for my suspected Lyme disease. It was eventually confirmed to be Lyme, and I received proper treatment, with no help from Dr. Amoashiy. My first appointment was scheduled for 9 AM, but I spent over an hour in the waiting room after arriving on time. When I was finally called into the exam room, it was to spend another hour awkwardly waiting for the doctor to see me. His curt young assistant asked me some questions for the first ten minutes, and then left me in the room to wonder what was going on with the… organization of this office. In the three appointments I've had with Amoashiy, he has never spent more than ten minutes actually addressing me. The formula seems to be a long wait in the waiting room, followed by a long time being stalled by the doctor's assistants, and finally a brisk review by the doctor. He's always radiating friendliness, but I've come to realize that this doesn't equal attentiveness or care. It's just a formality. There was significant reason to suspect I had Lyme Disease, which Dr. Amoashiy stated he wasn't knowledgable enough to treat me for. This was understandable, since Lyme is a tricky illness. Dr. Amoashiy said he would refer me to a Lyme specialist, and gave me the name and number of this "specialist". The doctor he referred me to was another neurologist with little knowledge of Lyme, and this second doctor was even a bit puzzled about why I came to him. I had to find a Lyme specialist on my own. I'm not convinced that Dr. Amoashiy ever paid much attention to my case. I believe the number of appointments his office insisted on was solely to get more money from me, rather than for my health's sake. I can't believe that most of the reviews on this page came from real patients; honestly, I think they're probably submitted by the doctor's office itself. Be very wary of this doctor and his office.
