Dr. Brian Frederic Griffin, MD

Dr. Griffin not only is wonderfully knowledgable & compassionate about pain, when he feels a patient not fully cooperative with treatment protocol, he doesn't just throw the book at you, nor have the "GOD COMPLEX" that many Dr's have; instead he REALLY talks (& this is RARE) not only hears, but ACTIVELY LISTENS, to both what IS said & what is NOT said. With his medical background, is VERY aware that every part of our bodies affect all parts of our bodies. He ALWAYS takes the time to make sure that the patient is truly understanding everything discussed. His staff, especially his wife, Joy, is wonderful in also checking for understanding. He also caught some conditions which should have been caught by my (then) G.P., but wasn't. A couple of times his quick catch of a problem saved my life. You may, at times have a slightly longer wait time, but he'll take that time & consideration with you during your consultation. We NEED more Dr.'s like HIM!!!

Dr. G spent more time with me at each visit than any other doctor ever did. He cares!

I went to see dr. griffin in 2004, i was refered from my neuro surgean. I was trying to prolong having back surgery. At first it was o.k he put me on morphine which i was kind of freeked out. We tried injections, at the third one. I sat in the exam room in a gown, it was freezing. I waited for 3 hours. I eventually put my clothes on and went up front to ask the receptionist if something was wrong. She immediately got defensive and told me if i wanted my injection today i needed to go back and putmy gown on. I told her i was freezing and she said they kept it cold so people won't puke. I tought that is why we didn't eat after midnight the night before. Really snotty she asked are you getting your injection or not. So i went back and put my gown on. after a little while they came and got me. He started the injection and said i am going to have to get out of this area, i am in an area i shouldn't be in. He said i cant do your injection today. So went to recovery. He came… in a little while later and he asked me if i had signed this paper. It said you may have to wait from time to time, I told him i had but i just felt it would have been nice if someone would have told me there was a wait. I thought i had been left in the exam room. He was mad and i started to cry. His assistent came in and told me don't worry about it, someone should have checked on me. I never went back. A few months later i finally agreed to back surgery.

I am so grateful that I found Dr Griffin. I was in a wheel chair for yrs. Finally he helped me walk again, I was told I would never walk again. Yes you might have to wait but whenever I needed extra time I got it. The staff even called my home after I had things done. The complainers are nothing but wanting meds and he won't give it to them, so they want to ruin him. I had been to some quacks and I am so grateful that I found him!

Oh Doctor Griffin is a great doctor The ones on here that are saying different are the ones who are in no pain and just want pills which Griffin is very good at spotting them kind and getting them out of his office I am very proud of that. He has always checked to make sure the levels are good and everything. So for the people putting him down you need help cause he is the greatest most caring doctor I have been to and yeah you are going to be there a little bit because he takes the time to spend in the room and gets to know you also ask you how you are. I have been a patient of Dr. Griffin's for over 14 years. He has always been caring, professional, and caught problems that my other Dr.s missed. Since seeing him, I have been given my life back. Before, I was in so much pain that I was 90% bedridden. Now I can pretty much lead a normal life due to his care and treatment.

My sister was with me, we were there for FIVE hours! I saw the Dr. for about 15 minutes, the rest of the time was spent waiting. At the end of the 5 hours he informed me that he could not accept me as a patient due to the nature of my illness. Turns out he is still on probation, his license was revoked in 2008 for substandard care (more info can be found elsewhere). He was allowed to continue practicing, however, and put on probation after he appealed. This was a mistake, in my opinion.

He is very compassionate. Appoinment wait times are very long. However if YOU need 3 hours he will spend them with you. So in turn you have to wait while he is with others. He has always been professional with me (Im a girl).

I credit Dr. Griffin with my ability to still be able to work. Before going to Dr. Griffin I was told by a neurology pain specialist that I "should learn to live with the pain I have." I do not care what anyone else says about him, he makes sure I do not have to suffer everyday. He totally cured my severe headaches and he has tried to work with me to relieve my chronic back pain. He's the absolute best in my opinion!

Ohio Medical Society took this moron's license away and a judge went ahead and allowed him to continue to practice. Read all the court-related stuff on him. He's lost his license numerous times for drug abuse. The last time for making patients take painful tests or not get their medications. It's all about the money. He's NEVER completed a resident program. Nor has he completed a "real" Pain Management program either. He's mean, rude, very limited vocab. (I heard the f word atleast 20 times.) He shouldn't be allowed to treat earthworms!
