Came here to get a second opinion because of a reference form my son who had a prior surgery recently. His bedside manner is fantastic. He just sat there attentively and listened. Told me what I should do and I never felt so comfortable and so relieved . I would recommend him to anybody who's even considering any kind of surgery. My wife is also here because the other surgeons we saw wanted to do major surgery on her right wrist that would last 6 to 8 months and the doctor here with a new procedures and with the new stuff they use they're talking weeks of recovery not months. This is the place to come.

Dr. Kaat is an excellent doctor and I have nothing but praise for his medical and communicative skills. My issue relates not to this excellent physician but rather to his gatekeeper. When one is a patient of long standing and suffers significant pain from trigger finger that requires a 5 minute appointment for an injection and is put off, it is in my view unacceptable. As this has occurred on several occasions I have very reluctantly selected a new doctor. Again Dr. Kaat is a excellent physician in every respect but for the gatekeeping problems I encountered on more than one occasion.
