Dr. Brian D Loftus, MD

I have had migraines for several years and this doc knows what he is doing! I have seen many other doctors for my headaches and this is the only office that has an infusion suite in the office - so if I am having a bad headache and my meds are not helping, I call them up and ask to come in for "Rescue Services" (that is what the office calls it) and they see me that day. The doctor already has patients on his schedule so I have noticed that he usually just evaluates me to see what is going on then tells his staff what medications he would like me to receive in the infusion suite. There have been a few times that I came in for rescue treatment and I was having more complex issues so he did an short office visit. Oh and he also does a procedure where he put lidocaine in the nose - I forget what it is called but it has been a tremendous help. I am never leaving Dr. Loftus's practice. He is not contracted with my insurance but I really don't care because before seeing him I was… unable to even work but thanks to him, I am back at work and fully productive! I sort of like that he in not contracted with every insurance - that means he has plenty of time to spend with patients like me!! Their prices are reasonable and I have an HSA plan so even if I went to an in-network doctor I would still be paying for the visit because my deductible is not met.

I have had migraine headaches for over 35 years. Dr. Loftus is the first doctor (and I went to many) that helped me and I had long stretches of relief and he has been my doctor for over 10 years. He likes data (as do I) and really uses the data I record in the iHeadache App. I do recommend Dr. Loftus if you are looking for a neurologist.

I saw Dr.Loftus last month (1-22) and was very impressed with the office visit (staff was friendly, dr was knowledgeable). They went through great detail explaining the patient portal. My low ratings pertain to the follow-up. I had to call them several times to check on bloodwork results. The first call i made (week later) the receptionist was quick to explain to me that the dr would review my results and place his findings on the portal but they had not received them yet and also told me that it takes 1-2 weeks for results to come in. After 2 and half weeks passed, i called again and nurse answered the phone and explained that they recieved my bloodwork the day after my appt, 1-23, and all was good. On the 30th, i had an mri done and facility gave me the films on dvd on the same day. I called the doctor's office again today and was told he hasnt gotten to my file yet. I have an appointment next week and im hoping they will be able to give me some definite answers, we'll see.

I have terrible migraines and Dr. Loftus has managed to help me when numerous other docs have failed. I was having a terrible migraine and was thinking of going to the ER it was so bad. I called the office and they have an infusion suite. They told me to come in and they would give me some acute treatments. They got rid of my headache and I didn't spend hours in an ER. When i was having severe headaches and called my old doc, they never helped me and to my knowledge, Dr. Loftus is the only headache clinic in Houston with an infusion suite where patients can get headache treatment right there in the office. Plus I would have paid hundreds of dollars if I had gone to the ER. I LOVE THIS DOCTOR AND HIS STAFF! They have changed my life because be got my headaches I under control!!!!

I decided to change Neurologist after 24yrs. I am so glad I did ! Dr. Loftus spent alot of time with me and and made me feel comfortable.He totally understood my chronic daily headaches and is trying me on some new medication. I'm very optimistic that he will be help me with dealing with my headaches.

Dr. Loftus is a very caring doctor. He listens to what you have to say and spends time with you. You get a print out of what he prescriptions you are taking and the dosage plus a short synopsis of your visit. I find this very helpful.
