After suffering with severe atopic dermatitis for 55 years and having seen literally over 100 dermatologists Dr Machler was the very 1st one who asked me what products I was using on my skin and hair. Well after extensive patch testing it turns out that I am allergic to over 18 substances!!! I was always looking for a new miracle cream used essential oils in my yoga classes for over 20 years diffused oils and despite the fact that many of the products were organic with products I believed were benign they were actually damaging my skin beyond belief. Dr Machler is thorough, thoughtful and one of the most compassionate Drs I have ever seen. His office staff are all lovely and supportive ... I can honestly say that he has saved my life.. I know it won’t happen overnight but after 55 years of suffering I finally have hope!!! Can’t say enough good things about this man!

Dr. Machler and his PA Lauren Vitolo have treated my family from acne to skin cancers. When we recently had an emergency we were able to get in and treated and they were wonderful! We are extremely happy with them!

All 5 of my family member are patients of Dr. Machler. More than once, he has accurately and perfectly diagnosed many unusual ailments we have had. Today, after seeing him about concerning pigmentations on my toe nails that looked like something serious, he alleviated my fears of melanoma by figuring out that it has to do with my ethnicity. He has gone beyond by personally contacting a dermatologist in my daughter's college town to get her an appt. for a rash about which he was concerned and didn't want her to wait until coming home to see him. Also, he went out of his way to call me when I asked his staff for recommendations of another dermatologist for my son who has moved out of the area. Lastly, after referring him to a work friend for a marking that 3 other doctors had no idea what it was, right away Dr. Machler knew what it was and had my friend get genetic testing for a possible condition. He is kind, humorous and truly cares about his patients. Dr. Machler is an old school… doctor whose priority is his patients' well being and nothing else.

I wish I did not waste 8 years of my life with so-called "experts" in the field of dermatology. I was referred to the "best" at the most prestigious NY hospital for dermatology which I will not name. Treatments worked for a bit but I got increasingly worse with not only my skin but it went to my lungs. I was so sad and discouraged but decided to try one more doctor and I'm so glad that I did. After a thorough allergy test he found that I had a severe allergy the PG. PG is found in all the medicines I was taking and while I was trying to find relief I was getting sicker and sicker. Please, do yourself a favor and go and see this amazing doctor. I can wear heels and take deep breathes--the simple joys of life!!!

I was beginning to think I would never find out what was going on with my skin. I had massive cuts, blisters and cracks on my feet and hands and discoloration of the skin. Pain was no less than a 10. I had done the rounds, and seen several other "excellent" well-known doctors, but not until Dr Machler did I get an ounce of relief. He answered all my of my questions, and therefore, I cannot fathom what others are saying on here about the patch test NOT working!!? It is the ONLY thing that worked by indicating what was really wrong so I could be properly treated. It saved my life. I am truly grateful to Dr Machler!!

For two years I suffered with constant itching, blisters and oozing sores on my arms and legs.
