Dr. Brian Z. Makhuli

Dr. Makhuli and his staff were very professional and caring. The entire staff were very compassionate and made my wife and I feel at ease.

Saw Dr. Makhuli for a shoulder problem. His diagnosis was on point and recommended an injection. I was very nervous since im not a fan of needles but he and his staff walked me through the process and it was completely painless. A few days later I was painfree and yet to have any problems with my shoulder. I would recommend Dr. Makhuli to anyone who ever needs an orthopaedic.

I went to Dr.Makhuli around 10 years ago when I was a teenager for a scoping knee surgery which he told me I had some torn ligaments, but that was all. After my surgery, which was just to clean out the torn cartilage, my knee popped out of place at least 15 more times over the next year. I went to another doc who said I had actually torn several large ligaments, partial tear in my patella tendon and fractured my femur and that because it was not handled properly, I had to have another more serious surgery. This past year, against my advice, my brother had surgery on his shoulder to re-attach some ligaments and muscle that had been torn. A few months later, last week, he had an MRI done at an expensive clinic in Miami and was informed that the ligaments and muscle had not been reattached at all and that they were not sure what, if anything, Dr.Makhuli and his team did.

Beware!!I saw Dr Makhuli the day I had my accident. He diagnosed me with a torn quadriceps mucle and did not recommend surgery. He reconfirmed the original diagnosis on the follow up visit. I was making no progress and went in for a second opinion. This dr could visibly see the tendon tear, ordered a MRI to confirm and reccemended surgery. It was a FULL tendon rupture. I’m so glad I went for a second opinion and had the surgery and am expecting a full recovery. Dr Mahkulis diagnosis and treatment recommendations were completely wrong. Beware!

Dr.Makhuli is the most courteous and knowledgable Doctor you will ever find. He REALLY cares about his patients. His staff also is very courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend him.

I was referred to Makhuli for a second opinion regarding a diagnosis of adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder). I did not find Makhuli to listen to my input with much regard, giving the impression that he was disinterested in my case. He was unable and/or unwilling to answer most basic questions I had for him, brushing them off with a token "Well, everybody's different." The final insult came when he advised me to Google adhesive capsulitis. An expensive specialist doctor visit, who ordered a needless expensive CT scan that I had done anyway, all to be told to Google my affliction. Unbelievable.

Excellent doctor. He really cares about his patients. His staff also cares about the patients. It is an excellent experience with this doctor.

My how things have changed since first having surgery with Dr. Makhuli a few years ago. Back then I felt like a patient, today was more like a number. Sadly, his current nursing staff is not very skilled in orthopaedic surgery. Where did the good girl go? Very sad. I guess I will be looking for a new doc.

I have been treated by Dr.Makhuli and his staff for over 5 years. I have to say that it was always his staff that kept me returning. I had two joint replacements with him and during that time his nurse Brandi was my lifeline. She always had the answers and even give me her cell number when I was having a hard time reaching the office. Savannah is a sweetheart just not very skilled in her job. Most often I get a "I don't know" "I'll ask and call you back" etc... That is very alarming. Then there is Beth, possibly the most arrogant person I have ever come into contact with. I will nolonger be treated by this office. The time spent by the staff in my patient room far exceeded the time spent with the doctor. Looks like a house cleaning is in order.
