Dr. Brian David Mulliken, MD

Dr. Mulliken did Total knee replacements on both of my knees, 3 weeks apart. I was a little worried, but I was put at ease right from the start. He and his team did an excellent job on both of my knees. They used glue strip instead of stitches or staples. I was not looking forward to staples. So when he told me before the surgery what to expect, I was so happy. The scar on my right knee at 11 weeks out has partially disappeared, the one on my left knee is more noticeable at 8 weeks post op. I am very glad I was referred to Dr. Mulliken and very happy with all of the interactions with all of the nurses and PA's through St. Joseph's Hospital.

Dr. Mulliken is patient and kind. He shows genuine concern about the aftercare of his patients. I had both knees replaced successfully last year and saw him for my one year follow-up. My knees were x-rayed and Dr. Mulliken insured that my recovery had gone well. Thanks to Dr. Mulliken I am able to walk without pain.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Mulliken for 14 years. He has replaced my knees and one hip. I would not consider having orthopedic surgery by anyone else. We have referred Dr Mulliken to our friends that need release from constant joint pain. He listens and gives encouraging feedback on whar needs to be done to get me on my feet again. Dr Mulligan is truly one of the best surgeons I've ever had and I've had a lot! He explains everything wonderfully and the surgeries and recovery although intense went just as he described. I love the idea of not having stitches but they glue the incisions which made for a really faint scar! He did a hip replacement for me and two knee replacements in a matter of 9 months one year ago and I am doing fabulous! Being a senior citizen I also really like that he does not use anesthesia! I wish I could give him 10 Stars

I will be honest. I had to wait to get hip surgery (4 yrs) and when I was finally able, Dr Mulliken did not explain any of the procedure on that specific visit-when I had officially decided. He actually walked out while I was asking him questions and he told his receptionist person to give me literature n soap. I assumed he had other appts but still. I had to read thru it all, watch online videos n google info etc. I made a presurgical appt n took my Husband with me before the surgery n Dr M finally took some time to answer my questions. I felt very rushed prior n this was major for me as I have never had any surgery before. He was however excellent in the hospital before n after, still answering questions. I was a nervous wreck. Today on my final post op appt he was very nice.

It was excellent, in every aspect, wait time, nurse taking vitals, and doctor treatment and procedure.
