Dr. Brian Scott Porshinsky, MD

I've read the reviews on Mercy's website as Dr. Porshinsky is a Mercy provider. I expected he would be a skilled and caring doctor based upon what I've read. I needed functional rhinoplasty to repair my nose after a devastating stroke. Let me tell you what my experience was actually like. Scheduling an appointment with him required quite a wait. I endured the wait because of the many positive reviews. When I met him, I was immediately struck with a disconnect between his manners and the reviews. Dr. Porshinsky definitely has a superiority complex and wants you to know it. He is far above you. Perhaps I am not as elite as most of his plastic surgery patients, or perhaps he is secretly homophobic. I cannot state for certain. But what I can tell you is this: I was not prepared for the extent of the required care after the surgery. I was in shock over the level of adjustment to my life and what my spouse had to do to care for me. We were not prepared for this in the least. There… was nothing given to us ahead of time in preparation. Worse of all: Many of the reviews indicated that the doctor himself called the day after surgery to check in with them. Did he call me? No. Did anyone from the office call me? No. Terrible. Obviously I am far beneath him and his staff. So be warned. Unless you are of an elite status, you are going to be treated as subpar.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the results of my recent breast augmentation by Dr. Porshinsky. We really appreciated the time he took to listen. He has an amazing attention to detail. We felt at ease from the initial consult. His office staff was very welcoming and courteous. The results were beyond my expectations. The recovery was easier than expected. Dr Porshinsky and his staff thoroughly prepared me for what to expect. Dr Porshinsky was always available for any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Dr Porshinsky and his office staff!

I believe that Dr. Porshinski did not take the time to get know or understand my medical history. He performed what i believe were unnecessary and Wrong proceedures for me which in the end left me with both physical and emotional scars that not even the best plastic surgeons could ever repair. Granted he may be a very good breast augmentation physican. I was very disappointed in his abilities as a burn physican. His bed side manner is very deceiving.i would definitely look into another physican if you have suffered any type of burn and require a surgical proceedure. But he does have access to an outstanding burn surgeon in Dr.Smock.to help him remedy his blunders. I just wish i was able to see that before i went through the most emotional and devastating time in my life. Please take the time to review his burn patient reviews if a burn is why he is treating you. Or do like i did and learn to live with a mistake that cost me dearly! But i do hear he is great with breasts augmentation if… that helps!
