Dr. Brian C Saks, PhD

I have been a patient of Dr. Saks' for over ten years. I can confidently say he is an exceptional therapist. His ability to listen attentively and provide insightful perspectives has been instrumental in helping me navigate through various challenges and personal growth opportunities throughout my life. His approach is both compassionate and intellectually stimulating, which has created a safe space for me to explore and grow. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking professional support and guidance.

I’ve known Dr. Saks as a clinical colleague for over 15 years. I have nothing but the utmost respect for him and how he works with his patients. He is highly ethical, compassionate, pragmatic, flexible, and thoughtful. I would recommend him to anybody seeking psychotherapy.

I am actually part of the LGBT community and Brian Saks invalidated an experience where I was sexually harassed. This man is a scam artist and he only lists LGBT to get money. Avoid him at all costs.

I had a falling out with a first year resident named Dr. Park, because she treated me badly. I think a lot of this has to do with my healthcare insurance, because when I had a premium healthcare plan I’ve never been treated this way by so many providers. He even gave me crap about it. I also gave him over 12-hours notice and he sent that text 16-hours later. Lastly he gets paid over $130 per 45-minute session from my primary and secondary insurance. During an appointment Brian Saks kept asking me questions to see if I was aggressive towards Dr. Park—which I am not and even her records state that I am not. But psychiatrists and psychologists like to get paid a doctors salary while doing the work of a fiction author. I’ve always been the teacher’s pet growing up and I don’t even have as much as a speeding ticket. Anyway, in order to prove I am a non-violent individual I exaggerated and I told him something to the effect that I am the best at being passive aggressive (which is NOT true;… that would be way too exhausting to live in that much of a negative state*). I know people reading this may state HIPPA would not allow what you’re about to read, but he does have the ability to contact my other providers. Plus one of my providers received a homemade cake from another provider’s children—ya’ll think they don’t have the ability to talk? Getting back to what occurred. After telling him that “I’m great at being passive aggressive (which I’m not)” many providers that he knows of or has a relationship with (which Brian Saks will deny) will think every little comment I make has the potential to be an insult—which it is NOT. It should also be noted Brian Saks is either agnostic or an atheist (I forget which one), and when I’ve mentioned things like being able to “feel a person vibe” he seemed to think I was going on the deep-end. If you’re someone who values the practice of having some type of faith: this is NOT the therapist for you. Brian Saks is part of the problem with mental healthcare today. As the other reviewer said he is friendly, but he’s sneaky and a bad human being. He tried to suggest I take unnecessary medications after I told him I wasn’t happy with him. When I told him about sexual harassment that had occurred with a gastroenterologist he dehumanized my experience and pointed the finger at me. I would avoid him at all costs. He doesn’t even have a real office it’s at his house—which is CREEPY. *I love Adele and I used to watch Grey’s Anatomy a lot, but I avoid both because they make me cry too much. The fact this dude thinks I could live in that negative of a state (always being passive aggressive) is asinine. If you’re a bad human I’m going to tell you to your face or send you a message about it.

He’s not a good person
