Dr. Brian Dat Vu, MD

After reviewing the provider notes from my February 2, 2026 Emergency Department visit, I was very concerned to see that Dr. Brian Dat Vu documented at 06:11 that he “spoke with me at length.” This is not an accurate account of what occurred. Dr. Vu did not come into the room to have a conversation with me. He stood in the doorway, briefly stated that my appendix appeared inflamed and that he would call the surgeon, then remained there as I began to cry before leaving the room. There was no meaningful discussion, explanation of my condition, or opportunity for questions. In addition, the note states that I requested additional pain medication. This is also incorrect. I did not request any pain medication at any point during my visit. Earlier in my care, Dr. Nathan Edman Prescott offered pain medication, but I declined it. Medical documentation becomes part of a patient’s permanent health record, and inaccuracies like this are concerning. My experience felt rushed, impersonal, and… poorly documented, which is especially troubling during a situation involving a potentially serious diagnosis.
