Fantastic Doctor! He saved my sight !

Professional, Concise & Swift. Dr. Ward has years of experience and loves what he is doing. He takes interest. He also has a good sense of humor.

Dr. Ward is excellent at what he does. I would recommend him for surgery, however bedside manner was lacking during an uncomfortable type of eye exam. He seemed slightly impatient. The office wait time and older equipment also concerned me.

I have had challenges with eyes as I have aged and Doctor Ward has been on top of each and every instance requiring care. I believe I would have extremely limited vision at this point without his care. He has preserved my eyesight and since we have relocated I have heard nothing but excellent comments from other ophthalmologists I have seen about his work on my eyes. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. At times the wait time was a big long, but I find they are juggling patients whose eyes were dilated for certain procedures. I did visit one eye doctor in San Diego whose wait times consistently ran over two hours for no apparent reason. She lost me as a patient.

The office staff is rude. I waited a LONG time (almost 1 hr after my appt time!. They saw several other people before me.

I saw Dr Ward twice and I did get a very through exam. On the downside he will not talk with you while he is actually looking at your eyes, only when he is done. So the actual time to talk with him and ask questions is very, very limited. He also made me come back to have a second test done two weeks later, when I could have gotten it all done at once if time had been better managed by his staff. My first visit was almost 3 hours start to finish and the second more than 2 hours. Most of the time is waiting, waiting, waiting. I know they treat emergencies but given those are likely to occur, they are overscheduling nonemergency patients.
