Dr. Brian Roland Whyte

I have heard negative things about Dr. Whyte but all i have to say is positive. Super nice and goes into detail to explain what is going on and what needs to be done. Not many doctors will take time to explain things to you. Nurses are very friendly and will help you with whatever you need.

If I could give this pathetic doctor a negative number, I would. He was given a request for an inpatient surgical consult for my mother while she was in the hospital. He failed to give that consult for over 24 hours, only giving it after we raised heck over the delay, during which my mother bled so much that she required blood. I didn't know such unprofessional "surgeons" existed. You'd be better off going to a veterinarian.

Very disappointed will never go back...

Utterly incompetent!.Ive had 2 encounters with Dr Whyte and both turned out very bad.

he seemed to be very caring,he also is very professional and wants you to listen to everything he is saying.i like him and yes I will recommend him to anyone.

I wish I did not even have to give him a star. My experience with him was in the summer of 1999 when he practiced in Montgomery, AL. We did not have internet like this back then. I did not meet him until after an emergency GI surgery was done. I had been under the care of a great gastroenterologist for over a year with fever, pain, diarrhea, and vomiting and wanted to be taken to a hospital where he was the doctor but the ambulance was routed to Montgomery. He knew none of my history and refused to talk to my family or my doctor. He did a removal of small bowel that has caused problems for me even today. I have very little absorption of nutrientsand nerve damage to my ileocecal valve. I have 20-30 BMs on a good day. I have vitamin A, D, E,K and B12 deficiencies, poor protein absorption, and constant struggle with hydration and electrolyte balance. I am a doctor now but in very limited practice due to my health issues. By the time I learned the mess he made he was gone… without a trace. I would have sued him then because he should have never been my surgeon in a GI case as a vascular surgeon. Now I have a good reminder of how to be a great doctor to my patients. When a family member asked me to him up for a possible consult, I got a chance to steer her clear of him and hopefully anyone else after reading more of the same God complex behavior that I and my family experienced.

Wonderful physician!! I have never had a bad experience with Dr Whyte. He is friendly, does not talk over your head or down to you. He does not beat around the bush either, he tells you like it is. Although he is bound by the rules and regs of those he is associated with, he makes every effort to put you first and truly cares about his patients. He has a passion for what he does and it shows through his dedication.
