Dr. Bridget Abney

Dr Abney is a to the point no frills doctor. She seems very knowledgeable and experienced, and explains everything in terms a non medical professional can understand. Excellent surgeon! C-section went unbelievably well...very skilled doctor. I've moved since starting care at Northland Womens Healthcare but will make the drive if I become pregnant again to see Dr Abney.

I was a transfer patient to Dr. Abney. When I was first seen by Dr. Abney I was well into my third trimester, in fact I was only 4 weeks away from delivery. Dr. Abney was very good at taking her time with me and answering all of my questions and helping me work through my anxieties. I knew for a fact that I was in good hands in the OR because the anethesiolgist was asking me questions about my previous c-section that was done at an army base and the previos anethesioligist didn't talk to me at all while I was in there, in fact the doctor and nurse staff that delivered my first son didn't even acknowledge that I was in the room!! So hearing the Dr.Abney's staff talk to me about my previous expereince let me know that she took the time to give them a heads up about how my previous c-section went and to make sure I had a positive experience this time. If I should get pregnant again while we are out here in the Kansas City area I hope that I can go back to St. Luke's and have Dr. Abney… again.
