Dr. Bridget Eileen Johnson, MD

Very poor bedside manner and medical attention to patient needs. Gave a Med she shouldn’t have given (it was discussed prior to surgery face to face). It caused me to require unnecessary treatments post surgery to resolve an allergic reaction and oxygen was administered due to passing out: Dr. Johnson then told me it was just my anxiety. This was not the case. I had 2 breathing treatments and oxygen which resolved the anaphylaxis reaction. If you come across her, request someone else. I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else and have a worse outcome. Thank goodness for my nurse who advocated for me throughout the allergic reaction to get me the meds and care needed (and unfortunately got scolded for doing so in front of my daughter and I ). My daughter is a nurse and was with me. She was very disappointed with her condescending discussion with me as well as the nurse and her lack of urgency regarding the care needed during the reaction . The situation was reported to… risk management.

Dr Johnson is very caring and compassionate. She helped me with pain control and also with hip pain. I will miss her.

With so many negative reviews, it makes you wonder why Froedtert keeps her employed? I agree with the dozen or so bad ratings I've read, her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. She acts more like a marine drill instructor than a caring medical provider

Wouldn’t take my dog to her

She has to be one the most useless doctors I’ve in my life. I have all sorts of back problems from working in a factory for years and a few car accidents. After explaining all that she said she’s not that kinda doctor that would know if those accidents or the job I had caused my back problems. Then she said she couldn’t help me at all with the fractures I still have after years of not healing. She had zero advice on what I need to do except maybe some exercises but couldn’t tell me what kind or where to go to figure that out. She has horrible people skills and brings up that she won’t give me any opioids to help out of the blue. I never once asked for them or about medications. She has a horrible attitude problem as well and doesn’t listen well.

Sadly, Dr. Johnson does seem to live up to her one star reviews. She came in the room almost with a chip on her shoulder, perhaps she is realizing pain management was a bad choice for her. She was more interested in keeping her appt time down than getting to know me. I was not told she (and apparently all Froedert pain docs) would not prescribe Any opioid pain reliever, wasting my time and money on this appointment. Opioids work well for me and I refuse to submit to the government hysteria against opioids which is only harming chronic pain patients. Besides putting me on Cymbalta (been there done that) and having me see a shrink (I got this info after a post appt follow up phone call I made) what was her plan? To just let me go through withdrawal after over 2 decades of successful and safe opiate use and then what - an antidepressant and a shrink? With My laundry list of degenerative problems? If I wasn't still stuck without a doctor this would be laughable. If you meet her, don't… even Mention the government in this opioid hysteria, she angrily waved her hand in the air and wouldn't even discuss anything. I found her a little cold, militant, no empathy, no outward respect for her elder patient and obviously has No idea what it means to live a life in pain. Dr. Johnson, if you are that afraid of the government, I suggest you go into another area of medicine. Bottom line, take the other one star reviews seriously, they are probably spot on.

Not compassionate, prejudges, short and almost always angry. Doesn't listen and ask very few questions. Not worth wasting your time seeing.

She read my chart before seeing me, and didn't want to see any papers I brought.. She was late, I waited 35 min to see her. She increased my Tylenol and Gabapentin, and did nothing with the Tramadol. The lab was on the 1st floor, I was personally escorted to the lab on the 1st floor. I struggled with my walker to get to the 1st floor. Then I needed to go back to the 5th floor. They refused to give me a prescription and make an appointment before the urine test was done. So I needed to take this blue slip back to the 5th floor after my lab work so I could get a prescription. I was treated like a drug addict. Very unimpressed because she decided what she was going to do before she even saw me. Cold bedside manner.

I would never recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone!! She is condescending and goes back on what she tells you if your injury is involved in a lawsuit. I am still in pain and have been seeing her for a year and now she won't even help my case. Not for her patients at all!!! TERRIBLE!!!!!!

If you enjoy being insulted and see someone with NO bedside manner than she is for you!

AVOID Bridget H. Johnson, MD in PAIN MANAGEMENT, IF YOU'RE A FEW MINUTES LATE, SHE WILL NOT SEE YOU.... Not EVERYONE is a RICH DOCTOR and can afford to miss work unpaid.. Last pain management Doctor was FAR BETTER... SEE SOMEONE ELSE! Gone to this clinic for over 20 years - and this person might be the one that makes us leave! Wife risks losing her job to have another appointment tomorrow, and I have to take her and miss work as well, because it is at a different location my wife isn't familiar with.

Dr Johnson is the worst Dr. I have ever had to deal with. I saw her for the first time 2 weeks ago and don't want to see her again. She didn't even inquire how I was before she zero'd in on my Lyrics dosage and informed me she would never continue at that dose. I have been seeing pain management doctors thru my clinic for many years without any conflicts. Dr Johnson has replaced an excellent nurse practitioner that was treating me for degenerative disc pain, diabetic neuropathy, sciatica,and severe nerve pain due to a fractured wrist. I also have severe arthritis and joint degeneration. My pain was not gone with my medications, but I was able to function and enjoy my family. Dr Johnson did not look at my history of treatment, or even ask if I was having any side effects on my present dose.She treated me like a drug seeking junkie looking for a high. She reduced my medication and I have reverted back to someone that can't sleep due to severe burning pain of any part of me that touches… the mattress. I have to walk with a cane now, and am unable to care for my home without help. I have called, but she won't be in the office until next week. It's going to be a long painful wait that is totally unnecessary ,if she had just taken the time and cared about the patient.

In my opinion she is a horrible doctor. I have extreme pain in my neck and shoulders and siatica. She reviewed my MRI and offered no pain medication for my neck and shoulders. She said maybe do some neck exercises; which she offered no advice on what exercises. As an after thought she said gabapentin was the only thing that would work for the pain. Gabapentin is not a pain med, it is a nerve drug. She didn't seem to belive I had leg pain because my pain is on the right side and the MRI showed a bulging disk touching a nerve in my left. As for pain relief, she said I could get a spinal injection. Before this visit and the MRI I tried 3 diff NSAIDs, none helped pain at all. I have a hard time believing this is my only option to relieve my pain. ð??¢
