Dr. Brien Windus Tonkinson, MD

He is an excellent doctor, I operated on my crooked septum and it was a success .. he is very attentive to his patients ... but very busy with his services.

I have severe breathing issues and sinus tissue that needed correction including a deviated septum. Dr. Tonkinson was very professional and dealt with my health issues with all the care and expertise that one would expect. My insurance refused to cover one of the items, but he did the surgery anyway without charging me. I have read some of the other comments about his rudeness and even racism. Those comments are irresponsible and without merit. As a Hispanic, I felt no such attitude towards me. He has a wonderful gruff mannerisms, and a no nonsense behavior- so what! He is the best at what he does. Those who accuse him of being rude, may be confusing him with a psychologist! He is not, but a great ENT.

I had a bad experience today, this doctor has a bad vocabulary!!! Only for respect I didn't tell something back, I don't know if he is only like that, with Hispanic people, he don't have education as a doctor, he is so RUDE!!! I dont recomend him!!

I was surprised to see a few people dissatisfied with Dr Thompson. He did a septoplasty on me a few years ago and he was very honest and forthright with me.He might come across a little loud or straight forward that’s his personality.I recently found out he went on a medical Mission to Armenian to help kids with corrective surgery who had breathing problems.I would personally put his work up against any Dr in the country he’s that good.He can also do a Rhinoplasty not to many ENT can put that on their resume.

Without question one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered in my life. He was unempathetic to my issues and extremely dismissive rude. Not to mention the procedure he performed was unsuccessful.

He's racist and he is rude... I prefer never know this dr. Because he is a very bad person, with bad maners with others and he is not a prefesional on his work... I don't recommend his work

I got LUCKY! I was referred to a different doctor in this ENT group by a very pleasant but grossly incompetent Internist. I had a conflict and was offered an appointment with Dr. Tonkinson to better fit my schedule. I recognized the name Tonkinson as the guy who had previously treated a close friend (throat cancer). I accepted the switch and have been EXTREMELY satisfied with his care. He is a West Point Graduate with all the right credentials. He is 100% BUSINESS when it's medically critical, but very personable when appropriate. I required a very complex and risky surgery (radical neck dissection/throat cancer). I wanted blatant honesty and the best surgeon in town. Tonkinson gave me exactly what I wanted. The results were better than I could have expected. As an EMT and SAR Mountaineer, I've handed off patients to lots of doctors under many conditions. When I NEEDED a great ENT, Tonkinson was and is exactly what I needed!

He has a poor manners, nothing profetional, he do not work well, hes a very very bad man and doctor, racist and horripilant human

After hearing him talking to his other patients in exam room I thought he have hearing problem didn't introduce him self talked loud didn't ask what's my complaints he decided to go off my records and repeat all my tests including biopsy

Came in as a emergency on Christmas eve the whole staff was so great thank you
