Dr. Brigette Schuman

Dr. Schuman has been my primary care doctor for over a year and sadly my experience with her has been very negative and has led to me leave MultiCare all together to seek out better healthcare options. Dr. Schuman only dedicates three days a week to her patients making it next to impossible to see her or establish any kind of working relationship with her. I have been forced to bounce from doctor to doctor within her clinic because she is never available. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars to get care at urgent care because I can not get in to see her for weeks and weeks, even when I am very sick. She has never personally followed up with me after a visit, she has changed my medications without telling me, she has failed to monitor my health conditions and order proper labs, and even when im very sick, it takes about three weeks to be seen by her. Her own staff has expressed concerns to me about the level of care she is providing her patients and they told me that a lot of her… patients are suffering due to her lack of availability and care. Dr. Schuman is a nice person and I enjoyed seeing her when I could get an appointment but unfortunately I would not recommend her as a primary care doctor if you have any kind of health issues that require regular care.

Brigette Schuman is an excellent physician and has never failed me with successful treatment. These few people that didn't care for her must be mistaken. My husband also was pleased with her as his primary. Unlike his prior doctor, she asked pertinent questions and immediately sent him to the heart center below Sacred Heart. He has since had open heart surgery and is recovering quite nicely. We have tremendous respect for Doctor Schuman! Gloria Evans

Would give her zero stars if I could. Refused to give me refills on routine prescriptions I’ve been taking for years (despite having seen her within the last 8 months). If you ever need anything from her, you will need to call the office at least two times. Overall she’s an irresponsible and inconsiderate physician and I wouldn’t recommend her.

Very standoffish, does not believe you when you explain your symptoms, does not want to help or go the extra mile to assist you in any way. Recommended a psychiatrist to help with long standing physical symptoms, as if telling me I was making everything up and needed mental help instead, even with proof of my condition from multiple other doctors and surgeons for years. Does not advocate for what’s best for the patient, wants to take the easy way out.
