Dr. Brock William Millet, MD

My family inherited Doctor Millet when our former doctor left his practise in his care. Doctor Millet has served us well and we feel he is a dedicated doctor who cares for his patients. He spends time listening when we have a problem and to this date has not disappointed any in my family of 6. Another plus he is very tuned into nutrition and has a good working knowledge of how this helps to keep us healthy. John B McHaney

Dr. Brock Millet may be the worst ''doctor'' in Oregon. His physical exams consist of a blood test and mailing the results to the patient. Go to this clown with a real problem and he orders a test. Go back 3 or 4 weeks later with exactly the same symptoms and you will find he never looks at test results! No memory of the patient, does not care one whit about the patient. He was my physician for 3 years and found nothing amiss. After I collapsed at home and was taken by ambulance to the hospital next door to his clinic, the ER doctor found I had a brain tumor, congestive heart failure and kidney damage. Millet never bothered to even inquire about my health while I was effectively dying. The Coquille Clinic employed 4 doctors and many visiting specialists for 42 years, until they retired. The waiting room and parking lot was always full. With Dr. Millet, the parking lot is empty and the lobby is empty as anyone mobile enough to leave has left. If you want to live, stay away from… Millet.

At my initial consultation, we discussed my medical history and family medical history, including the fact that my father died of heart disease at the age of 49. He ordered a stress test. When I went for the stress test, there was a problem with the machine and they said I would need to reschedule. At my next visit with Dr Millet, I relayed this information and he said he would reschedule it and I'd be notified. It never happened. At my most recent visit (3 years later!) I mentioned that I never had the stress test. He asked, "... is there a history of heart disease in your family?" When I told him again about my father, he was shocked! Well, I'll order the stress test right away. Of course, it's been several weeks and there's been no notice of a stress test scheduled. I do understand that a dr can't remember everything about every patient. But, every dr I've ever been to, reviewed my chart right before my appt in order to be up to speed on what's going on. When I first went to Dr… Millet, I was having nausea in the morning and had no energy. He sent me for test after test. Each time I went back after a test, he happily told me that the test was negative. I had to tell him that I still had the symptoms and then he would order another test. This went on for months. Finally, he sent me to surgeon to see if a small hiatal hernia might be causing the problem and could be corrected surgically. Went I met with the surgeon, HE HAD READ MY ENTIRE FILE and said surgery was not called for. He then suggested that, since I was losing weight and feeling tired and run down, I could try vitamins and supplements. He gave me a list with suggested dosage. I'm still taking these vitamins and supplements and, 3 years later, have had no nausea and have gotten my energy back. I feel like all Dr Millet got out of Med School was learning what tests to order. His lack of knowledge and follow up are alarming to say the least. I feel sure that if I walked into his office today, he would be shocked to hear that my father died at 49 from a heart attack. This lack of follow up is NOT what anyone is looking for in a doctor.
