Dr. Bruce Aki Akuna, DO

WORST. DOCTOR. EVER...!!!!! Dr. Akuna is a JOKE. He "coded" my 1st appointment so insurance charged me $400+ for an office visit. Incompetent office staff did not note of called in cancelations and made NO reminder calls for more than half of scheduled appointments. Hospital made follow-up appointment for me after joint replacement. NO REMINDER CALL was made by his office. I called that day to cancel because of severe pain and inability to drive myself. Two days later, I got a certified letter in the mail detailing my "release" due to no-shows. When I asked to talk with him, I was told he "refused" to speak to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. He is a JOKE and his office staff is incompetent at best.

Dr. Akuna is the only Doctor I have ever had that goes line by line over your lab report with you. He explains what each line is for, what it should be, what yours is, and how it is going to effect you if remains at this level. He listens to you w/his heart. I have never had a better doctor. I wish every Doctor would take bedside manner lessons from him!!!! He does NOT have the god attitude that many doctors display.

Dr. Akuna is both pleasant and concerned, and his staff very accommodating and caring, as well!

Dr. Akuna is compassionate , willing to listen, and eager to help. He is personable and has a great bedside manner. His staff is fun and helpful. Going to the doctor is a great chore for me, but they all make it less stressful. He will do what he can to help you to a healthier you!!

I always feel like I understand my health and conditions better when Dr Akuna explains things to me. Very positive experience for my family.

Love this guy.... but the waiting drives me crazy. The staff can be a little abrasive, snotty at times.
