Dr. Bruce Keith Bohnker, MD

This is not a very good physician. He works directly for the USAA and AIS. His judgment is highly persuaded by the insurance company rather than patient care. Please ask him if he works on behalf of those insurance company’s if you don’t believe this comment. No patient should event treat with a physician who is a pond and getting a check from the insurance company to save money on care vs providing the best care to all patients.

Met with this doctor about a serous endocrine condition. He suggested the best I could do was 50 per cent with VA and my wife and I appeared to be in good shape. The claim was finally resolved nearly six years later after five secondary conditions were discovered, One of the secondary conditions was quite serous and I was hospitalized for it. When the dust cleared with the VA, I went 100 per cent with the primary conditions and one secondary conditions rated 50 per cent. Conclusion; No doctor is perfect, but Dr, Bohnker's conclusions were far off the mark.

This doctor reviewed my medical records for a VA disability. He was very focused on my socio-economics and education perhaps more so than my medical condition. I thought he had a toxicology background but his report ignored the industrial environment that I had worked in. He had a difficult time understanding that both Armed Forces and VA doctors were unable to diagnose my condition. I was not impressed with this doctor and would not recommend him.
