Dr. Bruce Mark Brenner, MD

My wife had to have a Proctectomy due to a fistula that other doctors was he unable to treat and the last resort was surgery.We were sent to Dr. Brenner while he was at UCONN Health center in Ct and after seeing her he agreed to do the surgery even though it was a high risk and about a dozen other doctors refused to do it stating my wife's health problems was too complicated for them to treat. The actual surgery took much longer then expected due to adhesions, scar tissue and a huge amount of surgical mesh that was left there after numerous other abdominal surgeries doctors when she was an easy patient to treat. Dr. Brenner went out of his way to make sure that her safety was the top priority and was always available for any problems plus he gave her some of the best care compared to that we have seen through dealing with multiple other doctors. We are sorry to see him leave our area but if you need a doctor that is not going to throw you away because you are to complicated you… should at least see him for a consult.We recommended him to every one we knew that needed surgery that needed surgery that was in his scope of practice. We never had problems getting an appointment but he is in surgery so often that there may be times when there is a wait but then again if you want one of the best you are always going to have some time waiting. We will miss him.

I have cvid. I had a double hernia operation, he was great. he's thorough, I felt safe and secure knowing he's my Doc. I often think he's a oncology surgeon, he may very well save people. I have a great deal of respect for him and his nurse Debbie. Thank- You
