The Best. It is almost unheard of to receive this type of care in today's times. Dr. Decter was attentive to my needs and overall, a great cardiologist. Office staff was very friendly and professional.

An amazing doctor, but the front desk receptionist falls short. After years of coming to this doctor I dont know how that rude receptionist is still working there! Very rude and with an attitude of a high horse, as to why many patients havent returned! How do you have such a great staff and put her as the face to first attend your patients? She is not doing me a favor, my insurance is paying for my visit and the last thing people want is to come in and have to deal with a grumpy old lady who very well seems like she doesnt want to be there!

Dr Bruce Decter accepted me as a patient with only 25% heart capacity after another Doctor said I would never be able to be off oxygen. I never did have to use oxygen when leaving St Francis Hospital 17 years ago. He quickly got my heart back to 40%. Years later 50% and in 2017 it is at 57%. Dr Decter is well respected by primary care Doctors I have used. He is very knowledgeable. His sense of humor makes him very comfortable to speak about your overall health. Nurse Kathleen has talked my family through multiple times of concern and is very responsive to patients.

Excellent physician

Dr Decter is a caring doctor, however he rushes your appointment and doesn't remember when it's time for your yearly tests, you have to remind him. The staff and the desk are not the most pleasant and sometimes I have encountered them being rude to patients.

If you are not the type of person who would ever go to an emergency room, or call 911, even if you are convinced you just had a cardiac incident, call Dr. Bruce Decter. Dr. Decter is excellent - smart, methodical, attentive, serious and compassionate; and his office staff is professional and caring. What more can I say: Dr. Decter and the Cardiovascular Consultants practice gets 5 Stars from me!

Dr. Decter is just the best, he is thorough, listens to your concerns, answers questions and never rushes. Dr. Decter has a great bedside manner and a nice sence of humor

Dr.Decter is the most caring and knowledgable physician I have ever been fortunate enough to meet. He is very kind and says things as they are. He is reachable and is affiliated with the best hospitals in Nassau County. If you are in need of a cardiologist don't hesitate to call him.
