First, the office staff is not friendly. Secondly, if you ask questions about recommended treatments, it will be met with unkindness. If you want an oncologist who you feel is on your side, don't go to Bruce Hayton, especially if your case is complicated.

this doctor is not up on current medicine. My endocrinologist suggested i have an iron infusion due to my chronic low ferritin levels that do not seem to respond to iron pills. This doctor seemed more interested in asking me what I do for a living and questioning me about why I see an endocrinologist in LA than asking about my symptoms of low ferritin which is why I was there. He then proceeds to tell me that because my hemoglobin is fine that I don't need iron. Perhaps my endocrinologist who teaches at UCLA's Charles Drew University is wrong on this? So I consult the American Society of Hematologys website and find information for their members showing that non -anemic patients with a low ferritin level of less than 50 clearly benefit from iron infusion treatment in regards to fatigue levels. Wish he was keeping up on this. Come on. If you are going to charge for your services, get some continuing education. There is no reason for someone to suffer from exhaustion… due to your ignorance.
