Dr. Bruce Eric Heck, MD

I have known Dr. Bruce Heck on a professional level since he arrived in Findlay over 20 years ago shortly before NWO was a glimmer in his eyes. No one had to wonder why patients automatically gravitated toward him. He was young, handsome, intelligent, approachable and clearly on top of his game in the orthopedic field. There is something to be said about a good bedside manner as well. Patients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care, so I have been told. Dr. Heck had "it" then and he still has "it" now. I am honored to see how far he and his team has grown over the years with NWO. I can't wait to see what he does in the next 20 years!

Dr Heck has provided care for me and my family for close to 20 years. He has always made an accurate diagnosis and answered all our questions prior and after surgical procedures without regard for time.

Dr. Heck has a excellent bed side manner and is professional! He even brought in a second doctor just to ease my mind! I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Bruce Heck was absolutely wonderful with my 80 yr old mother in law. He was honest and upfront with her care. He referred her on after he saw that the setting of her wrist and a CAT scan showed more fractures than the x-ray at the ER dept. did. He had my mother in law with the Orthopedic specialist at UTMC within 24hrs, Dr Bruce Heater called the physician in Toldeo himself to speak with him about her fractures and getting her an appt. asap. She had a complicated multiple fractures in her wrist (from a fall) that needed attention, He wanted her to be followed closely and right away. He could not do so with prior schedule issues. Dr. Bruce Heck followed her care to make sure she was taken care of. My mother in law has NO deformity and FULL use of her wrist, hands and fingers. Dr. Bruce Heater set her wrist in the ER dept. educated us on keeping her wrist packed in ice. She did great, however due to her age in relationship to bone healing her recovery was slow which is normal… due to the aging process affects on our bones.

I can't tell anyone how upset I am with this Doctor office. I had a 2 year old with a fracture that I was trying to get in to the office Monday to get checked out from a late Sunday hospital visit. First of all it took me about 4 tries to actually talk with someone. And when I did the woman that answered was very obnoxious to me about calling again. I just wanted a straight forward answer if and when I could get my daughter in. Finally someone reached me took my information midafternoon and promised to call back after she got permission from the doctor. I was 3 hours later and I still did not receive any information on getting my 2 year old in. I of course called in AGAIN because I had not received any information concerning what was going on with getting my 2yr old daughter in or not. 1/2 hour later I receieved a call from a Sarah that worked in the orthopedics office and said that she still have not received information from the doctor and had absolutely no idea if they were able… to see my 2yr old daughter. She said she would give me a call the very next day or that evening as soon as she heard something. Well, it is the next day at 9:10pm and I still have not received a phone call from Dr Bruce Hecks office. This has been the worse experience , all I wanted to know is if my 2yr olds fracture was bad enough for a cast, I just wanted her seen. I would never ever recommend anyone to this Doctor office. The staff is not corteous or helpful at all. And if they are not willing to get a 2yr old in asap to make sure shes okay, what does that say about this Doctor period. I have heard of more issues today once I got into a doctor today and they have said themselves they get this all the time. Please help get the word across to the staff to change how they treat their patients!

The doctors are fine and show that they care, even if they are quite cocky. The staff is some of the rudest women I have ever met. They look down on me, like I am not up to their standards working in a factory.Let me make something clear to the staff of NWO. I may be a factory worker, but not only do I work less and have more vacations, but I make a crap load more than any of you. Also, the staff waits till the last minute to advise you of what is needed before surgery. Five days before the surgery they call me to ask questions that should have been asked 2 months earlier and tell me that I cannot have Aspirin 7 days before the surgery.Because of the staff, my surgery ended up being cancelled and now I have to endure 3 more months of pain before I can have the much needed surgery.As I said, I have no problem with the doctor himself but he needs to get rid of the staff.

This Dr is amazing funny and caring he knows what he's doing if you need help I would recommend him to anyone I've has doctors tell me they couldn't do anything for my ankle until I found him he knew exactly what he was talking about and fixed my problem finally a honest doctor

I would like to say i had many surgery done by dr bruce heck and my experience with him was teriffic,i have done very well with allof them i was back on my feet in know time.I i had any problems he was right there. i trust him with my life,and if i would happen to have any more surgery with my bones he would be the only one that would touch me.For all those other neg comments you must not follow his directions and so that is why you wrote those things.Dr Heck always will try to do couple things before he would ever do surgery, and thats because he cares about his patient, and the insurance company. If he feels there is no more chances he will do the surgery.

Very pompous and arrogant. To cover for his inadequecies? Said I needed a knee replacement, but then told me to try arthroscopic first. BIG waste of time! After a few months, my pain is worse than it was. Don't waste your time or money with him!!!!!!!
