Dr. Nolan Bruce Jenevein, MD

I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I am on topiramate so I understand the risks. But the way they talked to me about it was rude and there was no room for secondary options when I tried to ask for them. The option they did give me I already said I didn’t want twice but that’s the medicine that they insisted I switch to. I’m on a low enough dose of topiramate where there’s a chance I wouldn’t have to switch at all if monitored correctly. they also had me crying in the exam room btw because of how direct and rude they talked to me. I basically felt like I got no sympathy or empathy. Currently looking for new neurologist.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Jenevein’s for many years and he is always caring and concerned about my health issues. Dr. Jenevein is very knowledgeable in his field. He really listens to my concerns and if he doesn’t have an answer, will refer to someone that can help. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is empathic to his patients.

This was by far the worst experience we have ever had with a doctor's office. Most of the staff was rude and acted as if our questions were putting them out, nothing was explained on our first visit about us only seeing Dr Jenevein for the first visit and seeing a PA on subsequent visits. They did a number of tests that all held the same result and lied about a work clearance upon a positive result. The lack of care and actual concern by the doctor and PA were highly concerning. It seemed as if they had something in their head - a theory- and despite a number of tests disproving it, they would not accept the result, and subsequently, drastically affected income and our lives.

You will not find a worse staff than Dr. Jenevein's and quite honestly Texas Neurology in general. They will respond back to you and help you when they have time, IF they have time. Dr. Jenevein won't even read patient portal messages that you send directly to him. He just lets his staff do what ever they want, will deny any ownership of the problems with his clinic, and ALWAYS sides with the staff, right or wrong. He does not stay on top of what is going on with his patients. In general at Texas Neurology, you will probably only see the actual physician the first time you come to the clinic for an assessment. None of the Doctors or Nurse Practioners are in a hurry for anything and you will most likely wait close to an hour or more before you actually get to see your provider for a specific appointment time that they scheduled for you. There will be no apology from your provider for running so late. Because of the rotten support staff and laisefaire approach of many of the… physicians at Texas Neurology, you would do much better by going somewhere else.

Dr Jenevein is a fine dr. You will however spend more time with his assistant and staff. The patient/Staff liason is awful. I have zero trust in her.

I'm not the type that is very picky and understand delays. However, the staff is the worst staff I've ever dealt with before. I almost had a second seizure because they were telling me to change doses 8 months after my last visit. They are very rude as well. The nurse called me and told me my EEG showed I was epileptic and wouldn't answer any ?s. Who does that? They should have told me to come in. You are also on hold for quite a while when trying to speak to someone. I talked to the doctor to make sure he was aware of how his staff was and he appeared to be on their side.

Dr. Jenevein failed to diagnose my wife with the seizures that she told him two other doctors thought she was having. Neither he nor hisP.A. Suzanne R ...
