Dr. Bruce Arthur Segal, MD

Dr Segal is an excellent doctor. He helped me with a complicated retina problem that was hard to diagnose. He saved my vision. His office was wonderful. I highly recommend Dr Segal and all the wonderful staff in his office.

Do not go to this doctor ! He protects other doctors that are his friends that commit malpractice ! I had 3 incompetent ophthalmologists that misdiagnosed my detached retina, leading me to total blindness in my eye. It could have been corrected with a simple laser treatment if caught early. By my 4th doctor I was blind in that eye. I had to go to a retina doctor who repaired it, but with bad vision afterwards. He did his best and I have no complaint about him. 3 months post op, I only had 20-80 vision with distortions. He told me I had to go to a regular ophthalmologist to see if I could be corrected with glasses. He recommended Dr. Segal. He claimed that Dr. Segal handles special cases like mine. I called his office on 3- 9-20 and told his receptionist all I had been through, including that I might be taking legal action for the 3 doctors that misdiagnosed me and caused the blindness. She gave me an appointment for 3-15-21. On 3-10-21, I got a call from my retina doctor… telling me that Dr. Segal did not want to see me because he doesn't want to get involved with anyone who has legal issues with these doctors. I called Dr. Segal's office, and he got on the phone telling me that these rogue doctors were his " friends" and that he doesn't want to be involved with anyone who is taking legal action against them ! Then he tells me to go to Miami, about 60 miles away and choose a doctor there, because they won't know any of the doctors in my area, and they won't care what I do to them ! Dr. Segal is a disgrace. He puts his doctor " friends" and their patient references before him treating me. He's more concerned with profits than people.

Attention to detail and personable and caring. He identified an eye problem that could have turned into a major problem but he caught it early. His office staff seem professional and experienced. He has many years of experience and his office is new, modern and inviting. I like the eye glass frame selection as well.
