Terrible doctor had surgery a year ago never follow up , rude , awful bed side manners , only in for the money . Not a good dr

I have been to this office a number of times of the years. I just visited this week. The patients waiting to be seen were, at maximum, one single chair width separated. Certainly not 6'. In that little waiting room I counted 9 people, including the 2 staff. And their appointments were running an hour behind schedule. So they had people packed in, "offered" you could go back to your car and wait there. (That didn't help the 2 patients there with canes, who could not easily walk to and fro.) I was outraged. I left. I will not return, ever. I have been to 3 doctor's appointments during this Pandemic, and they all handled social distancing far better. You'd wait in your car, until called or texted, and then arrive to an empty (or nearly empty) waiting room and are quickly ushered into an examination room. This office falls far short of expectations.

I took my mom to him who doesn’t speak any english he was very rude to her. While I was translating for her he became agitated and was very disrespectful.

He Dr. zagelbaum is the most rudest doctor I have ever met it's common practice for him to rush right past your appt and you can't ask questions. He has 2 offices he is nasty I have good insurance I can go anywhere I will find someone better

Would never recommend staff are rude incompetent and extremely nasty. They insisted on taking a copay from me when my insurance company does not require they would not let me leave the office till I gave them the money my insurance company called them and told them it's not required and now I have to wait over 30 days to get reimbursed. Doctor spends two seconds with you and runs out the door very unprofessional looks like he's miserable and hates his life.

I went to this office with a significant eye issue.... I was misdiagnosed and on top of it, I was given the wrong RX by the Doctors son Andrew, who I question is even trained to do the eye exams he is doing. Both Dr. and son were very unprofessional when questioned about the mistakes they made on eye exam and diagnosis. They were condescending and rude and I did not deserve to be spoken to the way I was by either of them. I am a nurse at North Shore and I will be sure to tell all my colleagues to never use this practice because of the way that they treated me.

Always professional and takes his time with me. Always answered my questions thoroughly and professionally. A very honest man. I would recommend Dr. Zagelbaum to family and friends.

Find another optometrist!! He will spend as less time as possible with you to squeeze many patients in one day so he can complete the day with a high $ profit. He will not focus on your problems at all but on his schedule only. He will not admit that he does not know the answers to your problem but instead he will give curved B.S. answers just to keep you busy and him self look answering a question and dodge the main problem.

Terrible doctor, including poor/inaccurate diagnostician. Nasty/incompetent desk staff, etc. DO sent in room. She was also an inaccurate diagnostician.

My mother and I were patients of Dr. Zagelbaum. However, because of his staff's continuous condescending, curt and inhumane behavior we decided enough was enough. Why should we spend our money with a doctor and a staff who obviously does not care about the patient. Dr. Zagelbaum lacks empathy and bedside manner. I think over time he has allowed his self proclaimed notoriety to affect the reason he became a doctor. I would NEVER recommend him.
