I could not be any happier knowing I am in such good hands with Dr. Gunnoe. For a surgeon, he was not rushing me into having a surgery. He gave me a few options to try first, and if that does not work, he will than re-think surgery. Thank you Dr. for not using me just for a quick buck. Physical therapy has helped tremendously as you thought it would. I feel surgery would have been a bad idea at this point. Thanks for listening and giving your best advise. I will recommend you to all who is need of a back surgeon.

Took his time, very knowledgeable, not wanting to rush into surgery like other surgeions I have seen. Best doctor that I have seen in the area, would trust him 100%

I haven't had a doctor spend so much time with me discussing my diagnosis and ways to get better - without even recommending surgery. I am grateful to my neighbor for sending me to Dr. Gunnoe - she was right about his carig manner

On my first consult visit I overheard his interaction with another patient followed by inappropriate comments about that patient to a staff member in the presence of other patients waiting to be seen. I was declined as a surgery candidate and told to come back in 7 months and he'd review things. In seven months i would have lost my job and medical coverage. Seven months would have made it sixteen months of agony and deteriorating muscle condition. He wasn't concerned by that. When asked about a second opinion he made no recommendations other than "some woman" in Eugene. If I obtained a second opinion that recommended surgery he'd consider it and "may" do the surgery. I went to Eugene and got my second opinion and a week later I was pain free following a surgery. I regained my muscle strength and was back to work in 2 months but still suffer from some numbness. The second opinion included a statement that if we had waited any longer there would have been more significant and permenant… nerve damage. "Dr" Gunnoe also evaluated a friend of mine. By her account he was rude and belittling to her similar to what I heard on my first visit. I've told every medical professional I've seen since that time exactly what my head line reads. Never again with Mr. Gunnoe.

I left knowing what was wrong and what my options were...didn't feel like I was being pushed to have an operation. I'd go back again.
