Dr. Bryan Russell Herron, MD

Staff was friendly. I didn't see Dr. Herron until the second visit. He didn't seem to have the time to make any connection with me as a patient. I later saw another doctor for a second opinion. She sent me for a couple of test and had a diagnosis.

Everything about this office - including the PA are amazing!

Advanced Orthopedics in Prince Frederick has some the worst office staff ever. Was told I 'legally' needed my insurance card in hand (despite having the policy numbers) in order to BOOK an appointment there- as an established patient! I'm just waiting on a new card to arrive. This is not a legality, it is an office policy. A friendlier tone from the girl who informed me of this 'legal' protocol may have changed the outcome of this situation AND this review. Office associate was super nasty to me on the phone, refused to book my appointment until I called back literally 5 minutes later and told her I found the card. TODAY, I get a call from the office and speak to Dr. Heron, himself- apparently I'm being let go as a patient because I threatened to do what I'm doing right now, telling everyone I know how awful this practices policies and office staff are. Posting negative, yet honest feedback. MAYBE you should treat your patients with more care and concern when things like this happen.… Remember, your office assistant making $10 bucks an hour to answer phones doesn't have YOUR best interest at heart, Dr. Heron. She just doesn't want to lose her job for being called out on being a jerk over the phone to patients whose insurance payments literally keep your practice afloat. The difference in customer service between a McDonalds drive through and this practice is literally a doctorate degree on the wall.

I guess I didn't ask the right questions because I left their feeling like I still didn't know enough. "Can I continue normal activities? Must I be careful or it will get worse? Can I walk, run or jump?" "Will I get better or just wait and see?" Now after a reoccurance I need surgery on my knees. I felt like I needed to go elsewhere. I went to another surgeon and now I am satisfied. I know more and know what to do.

Doctor was on point with Diagnosis, with out the EXTRA. no need for follow up, unless necessary. I do not recall him asking me if I ask question. Over all the I was happy with my visit.

He has done two surgeries for me. The first time was fine, but this time my experience wasn't so great. When I came in for the consult, I saw his PA and he came in for about two minutes. I saw him a for a minute before surgery and never seen him again. He did not come out to talk to my family that was waiting for me. They finally asked if I was okay and the nurses let them come back but the doctor had already left. I have to ask all of the questions if I want the answers as far as recovery, what to expect, what I can and cannot do, etc. I had to call to ask if I was supposed to make a follow up appointment and also when was I supposed to have the stitches removed. Any time I called to ask a question or leave a message, I never would get a call back. Ended up just giving up on them and will not use them again. Everyone is nice, but I always prefer a doctor that is thorough and really takes the time to explain everything to you. I just felt like nobody cared and I was just another… surgery and the rest was for me to figure out on my own. As far as the surgery goes, it went well and recovery is going okay so far. I learn more from the Physical Therapist than from him and his staff. For my follow up, I went there and they took my cast off and sent me home with nothing which is not good considering I am supposed to wear some kind of cast for 8 weeks, but they called a couple hours later for me to come back and get something temporarily. So I had to drive all the way back. It was just very unorganized and no communication at all. Not happy with this experience. =(

Not recommended. Saw DR first visit-very nice/prompt. Second visit, I saw a PA who re-did my entire first visit all over. I had multiple problems with getting medication. After each visit (2), I was told my prescription was being emailed in at that moment. I NEVER received my medication as told. The pharmacies never had info emailed in, and I had a very difficult time getting the doctor to correct this problem. When I finally picked up my meds, it was the pharmacist who told me I should be on something different, as that particular med would interfere with another prescription I was on. The office never did straighten it out. I finally just stopped trying!!! Won't go again.

Did not like my first and last experience with this doctor. He walked into the room and did not introduce himself. Sat down in the chair and looked over my file. No greeting and quite frankly, I didn't even know he was the doctor until he started examining my hip. He asked me a few questions but didn't seem very interested in my answers. Wrote me a prescription for muscle relaxers and that was it. 10 minutes and he was done. Said to come back for a follow-up but needless to say, never scheduled one.

I love him! I broke my ankle in 3 places and had to get it operated on. He was great. The wait time can be an issue for people, but the reason you have a wait time is because he is not a in and out kind of doctor. He goes through it all, takes your fears and questions with ease and doesn't rush you in anyway. That is my kind of doctor. I don't mind any wait time if I get my fair time with the doctor.

Waited two hours to be seen. Told I probably needed surgery but had no fractures but yet when went to another doctor was told that I did not need surgery and that I had a fracture not found during my visit to his office!
