Dr. Bryan T. Leek, MD

Couldn’t call speak any higher of this guy! As honest as they come and fully understand athletes needs to get back to 100%. He was the only doc that didn’t want to operate .....clearly was looking out for my best outcome not his bank accounts best outcome.

My dad, who is almost 80 and has had cancer for 20 years, needed shoulder replacement surgery and I was scared to have him do it. I found Dr. Leek when doing an Internet search and was impressed with the reviews that talked about his skills and his unusual "bedside manner." This is important because my Dad wants to be a partner in his treatment and needs a doctor who will listen to him and talk to him without making him feel like he is rushed out the door or is foolish for asking questions. I could not have been happier with Dr. Leek. First of all the surgery went great and there were no follow up problems. Since it says on line the rate of infections for such a surgery is 10%, I was so impressed Dr. Leek hadn't had any patients who got an infection after surgery--and it was the same for dad, though he has had many other infections in recent years. Also, Dr. Leek is the kindest, most patient doctor I personally have ever met. He made a point of saying he would answer every question we… had and on every doctor's visit, he did so. He is the opposite of the bragging full of himself self-absorbed doctors I too often encounter. He even scheduled a third follow up after the surgery just to make sure Dad was still doing OK before going back home to live by himself, which I thought was beyond the call of duty. Dr. Leek is a gem. You are lucky if he is your doctor.

I first met with Dr. Leek when he was with another care provider. When I finally went back to have shoulder surgery, I discovered that he'd moved to UCSD; I immediately made an appointment with him despite the fact that I had to take three buses to get to him. I am not sorry I did. He did my shoulder surgery and had continued to follow up with both professionalism and care. I have, and will continue to do so, recommended him to several friends if they need shoulder surgery.

Dr. Leek is great! I'm a medical professional, so I'm very choosy. He's professional, but also very kind. He explains things thoroughly, and doesn't rely on invasive procedures as a first option. He's treated by bi-lateral shoulder pain for a couple of years now. I've successfully avoided surgery, for which I'm extremely grateful. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Leek was very comprehensive and helpful in my care. He took time to explain things to me and my family, which we all appreciated. I highly recommend him.

My complex surgery went as smooth as China Silk!!

I have had ongoing knee pricked since 2009. Every other doctor I went to simply wrote it off as runners knee from over use since I ran half marathons. I went through 3 rounds of therapy, took a year off from running and had an MRI done but my results showed nothing wrong. I knew that being 19 pain with every step isn't normal but no doctor took the time to care or understand running is my passion. I eventually found dr leek and what a miracle. I had surgery done and he found 3 problems with my knee and fixed them. I will start running in about another 5 weeks so I am keeping my fingers crossed it worked. But just after a week from surgery I can tell an improvement. Walking is less painful now than before surgery. And you would think tha only after a week my pain would still be high. I am willing to say that if I had a different doctor I would probably be in yet another round of therapy because they didn't take the time to listen closely enough to me. Dr Leek didn't see anything on the… MRI but that didn't keep him from trying surgery. I suppose intuition a gift some doctors just dont have, or maybe none of them care about anything than their high paying salaries, but dr leek in my opinion has everything all the other doctors who failed me didn't. As I said I'm still keeping myFingers crossed about running in the future but if I keep recovering at this rate and stray away from pot holes to twist my knee in, I can say this man gave me my life back.

Great doctor. Understands that not everyone wants to take medication or jump right into a surgery. He is very kind and takes time to let you ask questions and get to understand whats wrong within you. Great doctor!

He is an exceptional fine person and has great bedside manner. He spends a lot of time explaining what is wrong and what your options are for repairing the damage. He is a nice as can be.

Dr. Leek has a great demeanor. He is very professional but does not rush you and gives you plenty of time to ask questions. He explains the surgery and what to expect during recovery. I highly recommend him for hand surgery.
