Dr. Bryan Changseok Oh, MD

I had a bulging disc & Dr. Oh told me he was going to perform a microdiscectomy ie . remove only the part of the disc that was bulging out. He lied- he removed the entire disc and never told me about it. My spine collapsed at L-2, L-3. I was in constant pain after the surgery. He told me it was an infection and drilled into my spine looking for it. There never was an infection- HE LIED ONCE AGAIN. After 9 months of physical therapy I was still in pain. I went to see another neurosurgeon, who after looking at my MRI’s informed me I had no disc at all. 6 years later I’m still in constant pain. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor !

Dr. Oh is the kindest, most supporting, honest DR. I have ever met!

Do not let this man operate on you. He was supposed to do a microdiskectomy on me and ended up removing the entire disc - leaving my spine to collapse. He NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT. Eventually , I had to have a 2nd operation (spinal fusion) to repair his botched surgery. Dr. Oh referred me to physical therapy that never would have helped my condition. Very unethical!!

Dr. Oh is an exceptional minimally invasive spine surgeon! I had an outpatient surgery with him and very happy with the results!

How do you thank someone who has worked tirelessly to solve your back pain issues? Dr. Bryan Oh at Basic Spine has answered so many questions and has relieved me of so much pain I can hardly believe where I am today. I found Dr. Oh after having other doctors tell me I had all kinds of things and putting me on all kinds of drugs. Not at Basic Spine. They listened to what I had to say, How I was in constant pain and could barely walk, let alone work. They understood my issues and took quick action to order the MRI's and other test I needed to come to a good decision on my health. I felt like I found the right place. They worked with my Insurance Company along the way making sure to get me the care I needed and deserved. Every person under the banner of Basic Spine has my best interest in mind. From the first day at the front desk being greeted by smiles and concerns, to the Physical Trainers that see to my ongoing care and rehab. It would be impossible to express my thanks to each and… every person at Basic Spine for giving me my life back. I continue to have back issues and Basic Spine continues to work hard to address my issues. I have faith they will find solutions for me and get me up and running in the very near future. Each and every surgery I have had has been a blessing in itself as I slowly reach my goal of complete recovery. None of which would be possible with out the professionals at Basic Spine. For so long I struggled finding someone who would believe how much pain I was in. I remember when my chiropractor referred me to see him, I had just had a bad experience with a family doctor who accused me of wanting pain pills and not needing a MRI, I remember my first visit Dr Oh immediately made me feel comfortable, he was very easy to talk to, and just by listening to me and my symptoms he already believed me, he reviewed images of my back with me, he immediately seen the problem and started a treatment plan showing me my best options. Finally I found a sign of hope! As far as surgery you couldn't ask for a more caring dedicated Doctor. Even after leaving the hospital he called to check on me, very considerate thing to do. So he completed two surgeries on me, and oh the sigh of relief to just walk again. How do you possibly thank someone enough? Just recently I was injured and I am going through the same things with doctors and hospitals, and xray isn't gonna show you whatever… this is causing my pain! Its very tempting to make a trip all the way to California, only if I could! So I'm guessing I need a referral for a neurosurgeon in Humble Texas, but I know there will never be another Bryan Oh.

I had been doctor shopping for the best spine surgeon in orange county. i stopped looking after i met this physician. he is hands down the best doc i encountered. he took time to explain my condition to me. he went over my MRI with great detail. he scheduled my case and completed it with perfect results. i was worried about spine surgery before meeting dr. oh. after he took care of me, my life has been turned around 100% for the better. i would recommend him without reservation.

I have a severe neck problem which have caused other doctors to give up on treating me. dr. oh never gave up on me. He placed a stimulator in for neck spasms and because if my spine it became an extremely difficult procedure. I will never go to any other neurosurgeon. I have even sent friends to him who also agree he is the best.

Dr. Oh truly cared about me. His office staff was extremely knowledgable. My surgical result was outstanding. I visited six spine surgeons before visiting Dr. Oh. Once I met Dr. Oh, I stopped looking any further. He is the consummate professional.
