I had rotator cuff repair surgery performed by Dr. Wolfe three weeks ago. He, and the entire team at Mercy Hospital were professional and caring. It couldn’t have been done better. It takes time to recover from this surgery, so do what the surgeon and PT professionals tell you to do and be patient. Dr. Wolfe will give you the best start, but patient follow through with proper exercise is important.

I went to Wolf for ongoing shoulder problems. He recommended surgery after the cortisone injections started to wain. It was suppose to be a simple clean up surgery to ease ongoing symptoms which was performed on 12/2/22. That surgery has turned into my worst nightmare. I am now in constant horrific pain from frozen shoulder. I feel like my life has been ruined and he could not care less as a physician. His cold demeanor and dismissive manner is unbecoming for a medical professional. I would highly recommend you get a second opinion, or better yet, don’t put your health in the hands of this person.

Lied to me about the cost of a surgery. At the meeting to schedule the surgery I was under the impression the person I was discussing this procedure with was my surgeon however the day of the surgery I found out it was his assistant. He neglected to tell me potential complications from the surgery like loss of feeling in my leg and they lied to me about the cost of the surgery without insurance which has put me $40,500 in debt. I was told it would cost under $10,000. Their solution is to get me insurance and let the tax payer flip the bill. Furthermore, i have been forced to seek post op xrays from another practice at my expanse even though, according to Dr Wolf, this X-ray was included in a $1,900 charge that iv paid in full. To date they have refused to refund me those costs.

We saw Dr Wolf for a second opinion. We live about an hour north of his office and my daughter saw another local orthopedic surgeon who took seven painful months to misdiagnose the severity of my daughter's sports injury. Dr Wolf accurately diagnosed her, recommended surgery and three days after surgery my daughter was painfree (not needing any pain medication at all). It was an enormous relief after such a nightmare. Dr Wolf listens to his patients, clearly and completely explains the injury, recommendations and potential complications. He did an excellent job helping my daughter heal and get back to her regular activities. Save your self heartache by going straight to this practice and Dr. Wolf for your sports medicine and knee issues!
