Excellent surgeon that actually cares about the immediate and the the long term results. I had my c5-c6 spine fused and was out of the hospital the same day. And have not had a problem since 2012 when the procedure was performed and have not had a problem since. Listen to his advice and you will do very well. He is a straight shooter and cares about what he does with a sense of passion. Hard to find with Doctors these days.

Phenomenal surgeon. Improved my wife's quality of life. He really took the time to listen and eexplain. Something that has been missing in a lot of healthcare but will be returning as the tide changes from Fee for service (get em in and out) to value based care! Dr. Bryson S Smith is Superb at what he does. I was horizontal bound and could not stand/sit/move, I couldn’t do anything not even personal care acts without extreme pain. I went to see Dr. Smith because chiropractors, physical therapy and spinal injections were not working. He was clear on what spinal issues I was having and very clear of what he needed to do to correct my herniated disc. Any questions or concerns I had he answered them in a clear and professional manner. When I researched and watch a video, on youtube, of what needed to be done I was terrified. Dr. Smith eased any worries I had along with any questions or concerns. I had L5-S1 spinal fusion surgery. If I had anything to do over again I would have done it sooner. After surgery my pain was gone and in two days I was up and walking. After five weeks I am walking over two miles a day and can function normally. I can’t say enough, thank you Dr. Smith

I wish I read these reviews before! I was referred to Dr Smith for a surgery consultation on my spine. He was very unprofessional, unnecessarily arrogant, very confrontational, and downright rude. He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder and continued to belittle my husband and I. At several points of our visit he snapped at us in a volitile manner. His description of the procedure was very vague and he became VERY condescending and annoyed when we asked clarifying questions about the procedure. At one point, he even yelled at my husband "I'M THE SURGEON HERE". He then told us that I didn't even need the surgery and proceeded to accuse me of only wanting the surgery to "pad my personal injury case". He said, "I see this all the time, you people just want more money at the end of your lawsuit". Just so we all have a clear understanding of why I was referred for surgery to begin with, I have 2 herniated discs with excrusions off the side sitting on a nerve that travels down my left leg… making it difficult to sit, stand, and bend. I don't "WANT" surgery, I NEED relief! I cannot attest to whether he is a good surgeon or not, only the way our consultation visit went. Nevertheless, this man will NOT be coming anywhere near me with his volatile attitude and a scalpel. Honestly, the entire visit was surreal. I wish I had recorded it because something needs to be done.

Dr. Smith made me fell very comfortable and and answered all of my questions about my spine surgery. He took the time to explain what he needed to do to fix the problems in my back. In the hospital after the surgery, he talked to me in detail about my recovery and what I needed to do to get better. Dr. Smith did an excellent job correcting the discs in my back. When I woke up in the hospital, I did not have the intense pain in my right let any longer after over 2 years of misery. The pain from the surgery was small and I was out of the hospital in 3 days. I recommended Dr. Smith to my family and 4 of my friends who are having spine problems.

Dr Smith is one of the most amazing doctors I've ever met. His bedside manner is A plus. His ability in his field is the best! I would recommend him highly!!!!

he made a mistake in my surgery and still charged me for all of the follow-up visits it took to correct his error. He was not even remorseful and kept forgetting who I was. I had to remind him that he messed up my surgery.

Dr. Bryson Smith removed a brain tumor called a meningioma for me back in 1998. He is very skilled in his profession and I will always be grateful that he spent many years studying and learning the knowledge he needed to save my life from a threatening brain tumor.
