Dr. Burak Taskonak

I’m sharing my terrible, traumatic experience, so others can avoid their own. Taskonak did 2 side by side implants for me, one of them was shaky & didn’t settle into my bone. It had to be redone, and was never quite right. I’ve suffered for years now, and am told it cannot be salvaged. He’s THE WORST dentist I’ve ever been to. Please go elsewhere, save yourself from possible pain, from an unprofessional amateur

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I went to him as he seemed well qualified. I thought he was nice as well, however he said at my first visit I had seven cavities that needed care! I have never had seven cavities and knew this could not be true as I flossed daily, used an electric toothbrush, did mouth wash etc, etc. Maybe 1 or 2 but seven that all needed filling. Then when I returned for the second visit to fill my first cavity his other dentist who worked on staff with him did not even see all these cavities so had to have my previous x rays pulled up and have the assistant read off where these were over and over. They were so small she was mumbling she clearly could not find these or see these herself! I knew this was a red flag as all cavities don't need to be filled. They wanted to fill my mouth with fillings which I did not need. Then one of the office staff tried to convince me I could get implants! I will never go back. Do you research and be warned that you may not be… getting ethical care even from people who seem nice. Their Dental Hygenist was lovely, she should find a better employer.

I asked if the procedure would be covered 100% by my dental insurance. They said yes. But guess what, they make me pay $150 more after the procedure. Zero integrity and no respect for your patients.

I had a horrible experience at this dental office. The Doctor is very pleasant but I cannot say the same about the office staff. I needed some work done and the person who is in charge of the insurance (Mariana) treated me horribly. She was very nasty to me and she seems to be incompetent. She mentioned that the work I needed done was not covered by insurance. This did not seem accurate so when I arrived home I contacted my insurer. The insurance company confirmed that the procedure was covered 85%. When I contacted Mariana later on she went crazy, nasty on me. She was upset because I did her job for her. Why should I pay $300 for a procedure that is covered by insurance? She also insulted me and called me a name that I will not mention here. Needless to say I have another dentist now. Stay away from this dental office.

I always have a comforting experience at Academia Dental of Coral Spring! The doctor and staff are very friendly and professional. The office is nice and clean and i never have to wait more than 5 minutes before seated. Highly recommend this office to amyone!
