Dr. Burhan Hameed, MD

Dr Hameed is an amazing, caring, very good doctor! He's gotten me through a very difficult, very hard experience! He's wonderful! His staff is awesome and I trust this man totally and completely!!

Don't go to this practice. Dr. Hameed was once a good doctor but now is consistently late (2-3hours) and forgets previous visits. It's like living ground hogs day. The employees talk about him in front of the patients and are unprofessional. After suffering from diarrhea for months he reccomended a colonoscopy. The prep for this procedure made me 10 times sicker. I was dehydrated and nauseous. During the procedure I vomited and aspirated bile from my stomach. The nurse anaesthetist blamed me for this happening. Dr. Hameed told them to call an ambulance and send me to the emergency room. The nurse anaesthetist refused,stood in the hallway making comments in front of other paients about my private health information and had the nurses call my husband. They never explained the negative event during my procedure and made it seem normal for me to be vomiting and having a hard time breathing. They told him "take her home or the hospital of your choice. " My husband tried calling Dr.… Hameed the next day and never received a call back. I almost died! I went back to Dr. Hameed to discuss what happened. He agreed this never should have happened and was unprofessional. He said he was going to talk to human resources and the nurse anaesthetist. He said I needed more tests. I told him that I didn't feel confident in his practice any longer. He convinced me to get more tests and to come back. Assuring me he was going to deal with the situation. I went to the front desk only to have the 2 female employees complain about how ridiculous he was to expect them to be able to schedule sick patients appointments in 2 weeks. After standing there listening to them complain about him I walked out. I recieved a letter from Dr. Hameed saying he had heard what happened and wanted me to get the tests done and he would treat me by phone. The orders for the tests were enclosed. I went and had the blood work done, radio silence 2 months later. I then got my records to take to a new GI doctor. I read the records to find out Dr Hameed said I had unrealistic expectations! I expect my doctor to remember me and my case week to week. He continually told me you need this test done. I constantly had to remind him I had that test done and we discussed the results and you suggested I come back to see you about the next step. This happened every visit,at least 4 times.Plus he said I had normal results for a test never performed. This is very sad. He was a good doctor and seems to care but can't seem to handle his employees,or case load. I'm off to a new physician who is going to manage my case professionally and consistently. Hopefully this review will save someone else the pain and confusion I went through. Never let the incompetent people make it seem you're to blame.

Every time I have an appointment I have to wait at least an hour, my time is just as valuable as his. Finally after 4th appointment sent me for a test waited 3 weeks for the results all the while I’m in severe pain. Sent me for another test this time never heard back. He was a total waste of my time. I have bad stomach pain, can’t he even feel or look at my stomach? NO not once. Will never go back there in life. Waste of my time.

Dr. Hameed is a very good doctor who is experienced and seems to know what he is doing even with a very difficult problem. I would recommend him.

This doc told me he thought I had lymph cancer (which can be inoperable) and then offered absolutely no further information but asked about scheduling of a further diagnostic procedure. I understand insurance pays based on results of tests but offering me no info whatsoever on the possibilities of my situation AT ALL bothers me. Otherwise this guy was very nice, nice presentation, likeable. Maybe an off moment for him at an crucial moment for me.

I highly recommend Dr. Hameed! He really put me at ease and as someone else said is very compassinate and caring. He made me laugh and took time to talk, listen to my concerns, answer them and explain all to me. From the minute I met him I felt safe with him. I was very nervous when I got there, I had never met him before. It was easy to tell from the first impression that he was not just doing the job, that he cared about making me feel comfortable. Not every doctor is truly capable of that. If you have any doubts choose him. Honestly, he so greatly surpassed the expectations for what I had hoped for not having previously met him.

I have had several GI complications this past year as a result of cancer. Dr. Hameed has diagnosed and cared for all of these in a wonderfully caring manner. I wouldn't use anyone else; in fact, I have another procedure scheduled with him as I write this because chemo is still causing problems.

Excellent doctor - Dr Hammed takes the time to talk to you - and makes sure you understand. Very compassionate. Highly recommend him.

My experience with Dr. Hameed has been the trully the best experience. We as patients want great bedside manner and knowledge, I can assure you he has both.I have always felt so comfortable with him, and felt listened to, and then received his great knowledge and expertise. He is one of a kind.
