Dr. Young is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He specializes in a wide variety of general orthopedic procedures of the hand, shoulder, hips, knees, foot and ankle. He provides fracture care and also offers total and partial knee replacement as well as anterior approach total hip replacement surgery. In addition to a wide depth of general orthopedic surgery, Dr. Young provides sports medicine care and has worked as an orthopedic team surgeon for the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford football teams during his fellowship training. He has provided physician team coverage for the NFL Combine, Santa Clara University men’s and women’s basketball teams and Championship Bull Riding. Dr. Young is excited to be caring for the Laramie community. In his free time, Dr. Young enjoys fly fishing, skiing, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

I was very satisfied with Dr Young. He was sure good to me and made sure I understood everything. I have already recommended him to my friends and family and anyone else I talk to about a full knee replacement.

Doctor Young did a great job on my shoulder. He has helped my family multiple times with great outcomes. He is friendly and easy to work with. He is only satisfied when it is perfect. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Young is very professional, funny , caring , and an expert in his field . He truly cares about his patients and their outcomes. I have been very impressed with everything about this man. His skills and perfectionism shows in his outcomes. He has taken care of my family and I for years! I don't trust anyone else with my bones. He is down to earth and a very kind, which is such a refreshing quality in a successful doctor. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Burk Young provided me total knee replacements, the right one in Sept 2016, and the left one in Mar 2017. Dr. Young's expertise, knowledge and total patient care are outstanding. He and his staff, and the hospital, provided professional care from start to finish. My knees are 100%!

Dr. Young has taken care of us for many years. He did a knee replacement on my husband and he has been so happy with it. He did ankle surgery for me after a very bad brake and he also repaired a shoulder. He has always given us such great care. We highly recommend him!

My husband and I have both seen Dr. Young i because of knee trouble. One of the things I most appreciated about Dr. Young was that he didn't immediately say we needed surgery. In my case, we tried several different treatments and I haven't needed knee surgery, and I'm doing well. My husband did end up needing knee replacement, but he appreciated the months he gained before finally having to have the operation. Dr. Young has a caring bedside manner which makes visiting with him so easy. I would highly recommend Dr. Young to anyone who is looking for an Orthopedic surgeon.
