Dr. Byron Hideo Izuka, MD

I met Dr. Izuka in 2006 when my daughter broke her arm and needed surgery to repair the damage. Since then, he has diagnosed and treated her and my son for their various sports related injuries. Luckily, neither of them required any more surgery so he had them both referred for physical therapy. In 2012, I needed knee surgery and again, Dr. Izuka was my go to surgeon. Within 6 weeks of surgery I was back to running a mile and within 8 weeks I was running 5 miles 3x a week. Dr.Izuka is experienced and I highly recommend him for kids or adults. His staff is very friendly and highly proficient which is an area I find lacking in many medical offices, of late.

The most memorable event was how fast he was with the appointment. No explanation or advice was given for follow-up care. Questions were answered with yes or no even though they were not yes or no questions. Front office staff was very courteous. Dr. acted very arrogantly. I would not recommend him to anyone even my worst enemy. For a doctor treating children it seemed that he was apathetic. He made me feel like I was asking dumb questions. I'm glad it's over.

Waited almost a month for an appointment and then 45 minutes in the office for a five minute "examination." Would not go back.
