Dr. Cabot S. Murdock, MD

Since a recent CT revealed an established abscess in my chest cavity, choosing Dr. Murdock as my surgeon has been one of the best decisions I could make. He saw the urgency of the situation and got me into surgery as quickly as he could. It's a complicated situation and he has been with me every step of the way. He has been patient in responding to my many questions - even at 1:30 in the morning - and has reassured me that we will beat this. I needed a confident surgeon who would walk me through this, and he has exceeded every expectation in this difficult situation.

Had to find Dr Murdock to do a complicated surgery after the surgeon I was assigned to was not comfortable doing it. Dr Murdock did an excellent job and exudes self confidence in his abilities. I was in and out of surgery quickly with no issues. Really appreciate the good job he did and he took care to minimize the cuts for less scarring

We do not easily write negative reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences we've had, despite countless other procedures and interactions with many physicians. Dr. Murdock's bedside manner leaves much to be desired. He is rude, talks down to his patients and comes across as an arrogant individual who lacks human empathy. I would not want to leave a loved one in his care!

Dr.murdock is a great surgeon. I highly recommend him. I had a hiatel hernia repaired and the repair was clean with no complications.

The surgery went well. Dr Murdock is good at surgery. Staff, nurses loved them all BUT Dr Murdock lacks compassion and caring forhis patients. Initial visit I told him I would like to wait till my summer break for surgery to which he sternly replied, absolutely not! He never asked me why he just was not interested. I would probably never see this guy again outside of my surgery experience so I decided to go ahead. I struggled post op with sadness, crying and wishing that I had never had the surgery. 6 days after surgery at my follow up appointment I explained my issues and his response was, " well I can't tell you how or what you should feel. My job was physical and looking at things that looks pretty good. I was floored at his lack of caring. I think he missed the compassion class. If you want a good surgeon who can get the job done but doesn't really care about you then Dr Murdock is your guy. Would recommended the hospital and staff but not the Dr himself.

He is wonderful! Will get to the bottom of the problem and will do what is best for the patient. Trust his judgment thoroughly.
